    Enough for now
brother I hate to say it but you may need to replace the piece. I’ve had bug spray take the graphics off of my running shoes and clothes. It’s harsh shit.

suncreen comes out eventually, maybe switch to a natural or holistic bug repellant

I have that same Husky bin for tools, straps, etc. Dust and waterproof and it keeps from getting too much junk to carry around by giving me a set space to keep things.

Exactly. I keep all my straps and rope in it. Keeps the tool tray tidy and I don’t have to fish them out anywhere else. I like the multiple clamps that act as multi sided hinges. Pretty clever little box.

    Just getting started.
I'm preparing to build a Bussmann RTMR Fuse/Relay Block based on the amazing build instructions by @tacozord. Since I'll need an add-a-fuse to run my switches I was gong to buy a MESO cover but of course they're all sold out and I wasn't really happy about the reviews of his v2 release. So, I went on to Thingiverse and found a few different fuse cover extensions before deciding to print the file from Ouroboro5 (link: (MY16+) Toyota Tacoma Extended Fuse Cover). I fired up my Creality CR-10 and the print came out looking great:

    1 Print.jpg

    2 Print.jpg

Unfortunately, while this print is well done, the inner supports are about 0.6mm too thick (the stock cover measures 2mm from the outside to the inside of the posts). But, nothing a few minutes with the Dremel won't fix:

    3 Modification.jpg

Verifying the fit, which was great, I moved onto duplicating the stock fuse diagram in Illustrator and printing on Avery weatherproof labels (#15513):

    3 Diagram.jpg

    4 Illustrator.jpg

    5 Sticker.jpg

    6 Side.jpg

Final install looks great, and now all I need to do is finish the Bussmann build (still waiting on parts) and figure out which fuse I'll tap so I can cut out the cover to fit the add-a-fuse wire.

    7 Installed.jpg

In case anyone wants the PDF of the stock sticker (not sure if every trim level has the same diagram) I'll attach it to this post.

So true. I was completely stopped at the moment of impact. I just happened to look in my rear view and saw him coming. It definitely sucks I have to drive around a wrecked truck for the rest of the summer. I'm okay is the most important part.

Damn! Sorry you were impacted by someone else’s lack of awareness. Have you considered using this opportunity to get a high clearance steel bumper?

I have the diode dynamics ss3 fog lights, been thinking of doing this!
People seem to be murdered here in Seattle for no reason. I don’t need to instigate a situation with my super bright lights.

Yeah I know what you mean. My neighbor put a hole in my bedside with his lawn mower hitting a big rock in early June and I can’t get in to the body shop until end of August.

Nice work. Took a couple of weeks for my fingers, hands and arms to fully recover, but the results are really worth it.

No pics but used it to pull an XTerra out of the sand. As leaving our morning working on the Florida Trail saw a fellow ease his his 2X over a berm (county uses blades to level road). Not sure what he was thinking but he was a bit worried as I unpacked the smittybilt 3” x 30’ 30K strap from the cellophane. Looped it thru his tow bar and hooked to the TRD OffRoad hook I added to the Sport front end. Easy day.

Do you mean this? If yes, if you consider that a recovery point I'd encourage you to do some research on Tacoma front end recovery points. That is not one. Sounds like this was a light recovery and you sort of "tugged" him out gently but under load that thing will deform, or worse, break off and become a projectile.

I'd look at the ARB Recovery point or get two BPF Fabrication Recovery points (one for passenger side and one for driver's side) and use those. Considering you have a recovery strap you plan to do this when needed. Get some proper recovery points.
