They are tricked out with some sweet parts.

    Good eye, @ABA180

The black Hutch is a work in progress. Not sure what seat he'll run on it. For the times they show/display the bikes, they'll run a Dominator seat or something similar. But a lot of these get ridden every Tuesdsy night in
NOLA. Then they run a more comfortable padded seat. They'll put in 15-20 miles on a ride.

The Blue Hutch currently has a DC MX-1000 front brake. The anchor bolt assy. with the QR is riveted on the brake. So you can't just flip it to use the Potts mod. I think he's looking for the correct brake to swap it out.

Trick Star was always a grail of mine. I had a Wind Styler as a kid but never did it the way I really wanted to. I acquired a 85 Wind Styler and did it kinda between what I wanted to on my first one and what Woody Itson (my hero) did his Trick Star like.

Flamingos for staging, this was for a buildoff. I got some flak for running new bars on an old build but I ain't paying $600 for the Hutch Woody bars (IF I can find em) versus $75 for the Slam Bars (geo is identical).

Yeah if that's an original brake don't even think about punching the rivet out. That brake alone is worth probably 300 or so.

Couple of ways to go IMO. It would take away from the dating (if he cares) but could buy the new style Nippon front, or I think the new MXs have a bolt to remove the QR lever. I have a new set of Bulldogs on my Fred Blood, I'll double check.

I have a couple of the 80s Dominators, but I also bought the new repop ones to swap. Rather not break a date coded seat versus one that has little value. I bet they still make the Flite seatcovers too..or California Lite. Just dated myself there..

Wild looking build there. I haven't seen a chain cover in a long time.

Nah, that's a regular pink chain. The flamingos aren't attached at all..just used to stage for the picture, as was the mood lighting.

Ho many of you guys can still fit on a 20"? Even my 24" feels a bit small but I love the tuff wheels and you can't get them any larger.

I can’t, that’s why I’m looking at dirt jump bikes, even some of those are a bit small for me.

I can. That being said, a modern BMX bike is a totally different animal from the old school bikes in terms of geometry. And that being said, almost every time I ride it, I have to follow it up with a trip to the chiropractor.

I can just fine..my Schwinn in particular always felt roomy

Oh this is so true. Those slammed seats on NS are just dumb in my book.

    Which one do you ride?

Slammed seats have their advantages and disadvantages. I like to go with about a fist to a fist-and-a-half of seatpost, depending on how tall the standover height is. I've currently got a Terrible One Barcode (S&M-built from several years back). My big regret is selling my old Solid King Cobra, because the geometry on that thing was perfect.

I ride several of my 20” bikes, yes the 24” and 26” are a lot better for me on longer rides. The 20” is also the best way for riding with the dog

I was told this is a Pro-Class that is nickel plated. The owner had it polished. Not quite "shiny chrome" finish, but much brighter than the nickel I remember. I added the blue cables to it today & we installed the decals today too. Mix of parts, but does have a Campy crankset on it.

And another bike with a comfy seat, haha

Depends on the riding I plan to do. Old school habit dies hard of running seat and end of bars one thumb's width apart, AKA rule of thumb. I can't sit on the slammed seat and pedal with my knees.

I loved the Dave Nourie method, the Tioga quick release clamp

Never got to ride one but always loved those. You don't even want to think of what they cost though

I’m 62. Renner, SD. Good day.

My aunt just passed. That happens a lot when you’re pushing 60. My brother found the pic among her possessions. Don’t recall Her or a camera there that day.

    Thanks, aunt Shelley.

Surgical tubing. Snap, and off we go. I’m on my Rampar R10. Raced a Stingray before that.

Ahhh. I raced from 83-85 and we always had the latch gate style. I had my AMF department store bike and then a Mongoose Supergoose for racing.
