Said the same thing as I rode my motorcycle in to work this morning. Great temperature, nice clouds and sun in the sky. Really wanted to just keep riding instead of going to work

Spent the last 3 days scouting for deer up near Austin. Didn't see a single critter, but the heat was oppressive, so not unexpected. Terrain, water, and forage all look good, and I know folks in town have them eating corn in their yards. Wonder if I can set up a hide atop Stoke's Castle and plink one coming in for a free meal.

I kid. Sorta. OK, it crossed my mind, but I wouldn't actually do that. :)

It really is great. Drove down Reese River Valley from Austin - checked out Big Creek CG (nice, plenty of room to trailer in my SXS), and then the next one south - San Juan, I think it is. San Juan is a little bit of a drive in, lots of creek crossings, and the campground up top was *stuffed* with Super Adventure rigs (amazed some of the larger ones made it in there). Found some fish, found some spots to go glass for deer in the Fall. Didn't get to the last one, east of the res.

I think I like it better than the Ruby Mountains. And admittedly on opening day, Harrison Pass becomes a zoo.

Recently installed a bunch of new shit (Fox 2.5's with resi's, wheels/tires, CMC, cam tabs, KDSS spacers, panhard bar correction kit and more). Explored a bunch around dog valley and into Meadow Lake area this weekend. Took a couple trails that still had a surprising amount of snow still. GX did great with the exception of a bunch of new trail stripes. Need to remember to bring a saw of some kind since we ran into a bunch of tree fall that made passage difficult due to the height of the RTT. Great time though.

The main road was fine, a bit dusty though. Ended up not taking the main road in though and did a loop to the east of Webber down Dog Valley road, the Little Truckee river and through Bear Valley loop. It was a little hairy in spots with the amount of snow still present and the associated runoff. Definitely not a well traveled route.

How's the fishing in the Ruby Mts? It's been on my list to check out for a very long time now. It's just so damn hard to leave the Sierra when it's basically your backyard. If the fishings good that might be just enough for me to schedule some time there in Sept or Oct.

I have looked at that route on a map but have never done it. I’ll have to check it out next time I’m in that area. I’ve done part of it from either side just not the middle.

I'm planning on going up that way again around the 11th or 12th of August with a couple folks. You are more than welcome to join if you want. It's not crazy, but does get tight. Has a couple of off camber snow crossings that wanted to slide you right into the trees and one water crossing that was around 3'-4' deep depending on location.

Never fished in the Ruby's. Same sentiment here - just too much good water within 90 minutes to ignore. A little further and I can fish MF Stanislaus, Silver Creek, and innumerable other little streams and lakes. If I want to put in a little extra time, I can go down to the East Walker and fly fish until my arms fall off, camp right next to the river, and not deal with CA crowds. Though everything is running a little higher than I like right now, the Fall fishing should be outstanding.

First off I would avoid that place like the plague in October. It's beautiful but there are at least a billion deer hunters. You'll spend more time trying to get away from people than it's worth. I'll pm you the rest.

Interesting week. Shooting on the street in front of my apartment building and supposedly someone died in our lobby. Windows broken downstairs. Right in Virginia street by campus.

And I’m doing 70 hours this week working valet during hot august nights so I get some nice close up time with the cars after the crowds go away and some time to talk to the owners here and there which is cool. But the $$ is not being shelled out like the guys said it was last year. Still very hot outside though that’s no different.

Oh and I have to move units in my apartment building in a 24 hour window this Saturday around my work schedule and finish my online class in the next week

Anyone know what to do when you lose the FOB to a 2013 T4R? Do you have to tow it somewhere or are there peeps that can come out and make a new key?

It's at my house, just wondering how f'd in going to get during hot August nights.

The key or just the fob to unlock? If it's anything like the 2012 Tacoma and it's just the fob you can program it on your own...if it's the key too I'm not sure.
