Ill look into the shorty. Cleaning the maf fixed it bogging out on acceleration, that issue was scary lmao. Was brown shit coming off it when i sprayed. Still got a quirky lurching around 3.5k rpms to 4k. Gonna keep watching it and i get an ob2 reader again on Wednesday

Overfilling my coolant reservoir won't be detrimental to the truck, right? It was low and slurping the reservoir when i got the truck. Just topped it 90% full, thanks!!!

 

Oh ya and my cv axle, in theory how long can i let it sling grease before pulling? I have to get another floorjack bc the tow place stole mine out of the slugs bed

If you don't know how long the CV has been exposed prior to you owning the truck then it probably doesn't matter and I would replace it anyway. If you saw it break just recently you're probably good for a couple weeks

And theres splattered grease all in the wheel well, I'll snag a new one . Is there a good writeup on determining if a cv is still re bootable vs gone? Would like to keep the old as a spare like others do

Not too sure if cv axles differ on taco vs t100 bc I'm on the pickup front end

 

That's their cheap one; they don't offer what I had for my 4R for your T100.

With that said, a parts store cv axle wouldn't be bad to throw on. If your other one is OEM, reboot that son of a gun and keep as backup.

I replaced the filler tube on 100 yesterday. There a couple of little trucks that will make doing this again easier.

What was the main reason for replacement? Just curious.

 

Rust.

 

T100 and pickups don't cycle a lot of suspension travel in the front so even a cheap CV should be fine. Watch a video on how to do it though because you'll learn some good tips before getting really annoyed how much work there is to change a CV on one of those.
