Have a 1st gen that has working AC, but feel its time to just go full monty cool with this heat for the sake of my soon to come long drive passengers haha.

Life of me I can't find nothing on how much oil to put in. I know freon is R134a at around 22+1.7ish oz's. But for oil I cant seem to find how many oz to drop in for a full recharge.

Anyone with the know how I'd greatly appreciate it. (I looked everywhere on my truck for freon info and even the manual but found nothing helpful also)

    Edit: This is for a 99 2.4L 2wd 1st gen taco.

If you are replacing the compressor the card in the box will tell you, if you are replacing the condenser, the dryer AND they come dry, the acceptable “standard” in the industry is apx. 1-1/2 oz of oil per replaced unit. When you take the compressor off you can always drain it to see how much oil comes out.

    This is from the manual
