Very cool! What a place to grow up, we love it here. I’ve lived all over San Diego but the longest has been around the PB area - from Opal to Grand back to Opal to Tourmaline and now Wilbur. Bought in 2018 and don’t think we’ll ever leave (unless we leave California all together).

Really pumped with how the camper window covers turned out. Reflectix on one side, black fabric on the opposite. Like my pricey windshield cover, refectix side out during hot months keeps the inside cooler, reflectix in during colder months to keep it warmer. Plus it looks sweet, gives extra privacy when I'm in and keeps prying eyes out when I'm not.

These look sick. Every time I see them posted they catch my attention, especially when they're not in black. I know you bought them secondhand but you do know if these are the "Peak Grey" color?

Congrats on the score. They look really nice. 52’s are one of my favorite wheels, just too pricy. I like the gray with white.

can you tell us more how you did this?

mine are silver and big. I cut them and put Velcro squares to stick onto the headliner.

but the square adhesive melts off the Reflectix in heat and they fall.
Or they’re big and get in the way.

I don’t like the obvious silver look. Found out Amazon sells for about the same price, black on the outside, so I’ll remake them.

    Unmodified they’re still floppy though.
Gonna see if there’s a way I can make them into stiff backed units. And potentially smaller to cover the window without taking up extra space.

maybe add curtains after to block any extra light going in or out.

may need to do other mods first then see how to trim the Reflectix so they don’t get in the way.

got a cage wire rack shelf for the 14”x14” 9cubex9cube grid square panels and plant to mount some inside the window using the existing frame screws to hold Loops, to use as additional light gear mounting organizing surface
Possibly cut out middle wide grid to let fingers access window slider when needed

that will slightly get in the way of Reflectix
    I’ll see how it goes

Plan is first 10% ceramic tint
Should noticeably help with heat rejection, uniform outside look, and stealth/privacy

It was a really simple project. Cut the reflectix to the size of the windows using a template I made from cardboard. Then I sprayed one side with gorilla spray adhesive and attached black fabric I bought off of Amazon. Smoothed ot put and used the little sound deadening roller as an extra once over. I had an entire roll of adhesive loop side of velcro so I used it as an edge around the entire piece. I have some adhesive hook from the velcro on the inside frame of the window. Last I have a couple long strips of 2 sided velcro that have 2 purposes. One to hold the rolled up blind when not in use, second I have it attached to the carpet liner in the shell top to bottom of the window as a support for the cover. Now that I have adjusted it, there is no light coming from the windows. It blacks them out from the inside.

Interested to see how the grid works out. Have ypu gotten any quotes on the tint? I called a local shop that was outrageous because of the screens.

What're the signs of a bad balljoint? I have a clunking I thought was my shock but it turns out it wasn't.

Drove to HF and picked up a cargo bar for the bed. Got tired of my bin sliding around.
    This one if you're interested.

can you shoot me a link to the black camper shades on Amazon? I have been looking for my long bed Snugtop for camping. I have a Luno bed mattress and pump and have done camping in just the bed. I just throw my gear boxes on a tarp and move my freezer.

More mods than it should have...
Upgraded my rear shocks from Bilstein 5100s to Fox 2.0s purchased from another TW memeber.
