I never had a 5th wheel, I guess they get better MPG than the bumper pulls but at that speed, I’d guess 6-8. The new gasser engines are impressive and have the new 10 speed which may help a bit but I’m still saying single digits.

Still need to get the rest of my suspension parts, and get THAT going... but, now I'm eyeballing 285s... was looking at 255/85s as well....

    I had a 6.2 in a service truck....

That truck never saw a gas pump it didn't like.
But, always ran strong, and had no issues dragging a massive trailer(not a 5th wheel), would drop below 10, even steady state @80(low profile, just heavy).
So, yeah, 6-8 seems like a fair guess.

That has always been my intent. 255/85 MTs for playing.. but, looks like they won't clear the JBAs with stock wheels. I hate playing this game.

Played it with my stupid duty... made my head hurt.....

Yeah factory offset doesn't work with aftermarket uca's after a point. 285s will rub em worse than the skinnys so you'll need spacers/new wheels regardless at that point, but I think skinnys should clear

Man this is part of why I am not touching my suspension and doing humungo wheels. Truck does a lot of what I want it to do, it's my daily, and you get into tearing into the suspension and stuff and this brand works, this doesn't, this needs some pixie dust, this needs mars in retrograde, and that one worked mint but the guy got arrested for running a Congolese brothel in Germany so the quality went down when he started having to bootleg them from a Brazilian prison.

I'm moving sloooooow after doing all 3 days of Newport Folk Fest this weekend.

IMO 8.5" wide wheels are a bit wide for 255's. The tires dont bulge out as much as I would like.

Edit. It may be my hybrid beadlock wheels that make look a bit goofy.
