This bracket is great! The bracket is well made and the hardware is quality. The ridged washer nut makes installation easier. Once the nut makes contact it hols well so you can tighten the screws without holding them.

I PM'd @pgfitzgerald and the bracket was shipped out the same or the next day!

I installed the Redarc knob on the right side lower switch panel.

Hi all and hope all is well. I recently had completed my install on my Tacoma in adding the Redarc tow pro kit.

My thanks goes to pgfitzgerald for the amazing bracket he offered in selling for this install. The bracket really helped out significantly. Also, my thanks goes to acorn27 for the referral link he posted for purchasing the Redarc combo package that comes with the specific harness and extra inserts for the factory cubby fillers.

The install took me about 2 hours with some interruptions from home of course. The biggest challenge was being careful removing the airbag from its setting yet once that's removed, everything can be easy and lots of plug and play with the amazing plug and pull momentum.

Also I added the Redarc link to their install video which helped out a lot. This video is applicable to the 2016 and thru present (2023) Tacomas.

    https://youtu.be/aKsQQK-oqjc

Lastly I did my best in trying to capture some photos but it was challenging with holding up the flashlight, tools and the cell phone all at once.

It was a bit of a task yet glad to get the help and referrals from "Tacoma World" the best resource for help with Tacomas!

FINALLY got around to installing this today. I don't have much to add that hasn't already been said... @pgfitzgerald's bracket went on SO nice! I opted for a center location on the dial... Looks about as factory as you're going to get I think.

I ordered this bracket for my install too. I'm all out of switch locations as my last blank under the stereo went for the 2wd lo switch so I used one of the ones that comes in the kit. Measured it out and drilled a hole. I was going to order a custom switch bezel but this is good enough.

This is much cleaner and my knee doesn't bang off of it like my tekonsha p3

Installed today. For anyone on the fence about this bracket, just get it. Fits perfectly and makes a nice strong mounting point for the brake controller.

I am sad to report that the glass breakage module if present will interfere with this mounting location :(
Back to my previous 3M doubled sided tape slapped to the side of another module which happily is still holding strong after a year of Texas weather.

Anyone want in Austin, TX or Santa Fe, NM interested in a bracket? It's a well thought out kit with all of the fasteners required.IMG_2052.HEIC.jpg

Yep, wish that wasn't the case. :(
If you'd like a refund, feel free to PM me and we'll figure it out.

For awareness to anyone who's interested, here's part of what I send out to folks that send me PMs:

1x aluminum mounting bracket for 3rd-gen Tacoma without the glass breakage sensor
4x M4 flat head machine screws to mount brake controller to bracket
    4x M4 serrated flange nuts
2x M8 button head bolts to mount bracket to truck
    2x M8 serrated flange nuts

So far, that's the only compatibility issue I've run into.

Naw don't worry about it, I'm sure I can find someone to sell it onto eventually.

I am also pondering moving the GBS module mostly because it doesn't really need to be well affixed vs the TowPro that has an accelerometer in it. I didn't move the GBS this morning because I was short on time and I had already neatly ziptied its harness to the existing vehicle wiring.

    Hi!
New here but I am in San Antonio and will buy the bracket from you if you’re interested in selling it. I am actually driving up to Dallas from San Antonio on Saturday to pick up my new to me 2021 Army Green TRD Sport and would be happy to make arrangements on the way to or back when I pass through Austin. I already ordered the Liberty, Harness and Switch cover from RedArc and should have that in time before I take my trailer to the coast next weekend!

Finally had time to get mine installed this morning. As stated many times in this thread...the bracket fits perfectly! It's well machined, and comes with all the hardware needed to install the brake controller.

Seems unlikely, but has anyone checked to see whether this bracket happens to fit 2nd gens or gen 2.5's?
