Driving a tuned little 2.7 access cab around city is actually pretty fun. Even merging onto the highway the 2.7 pushes. Not stock though. Stock is slow.

I can’t even imagine 465 TQ on a Tacoma haha. They really gotta beef up the drivetrain.

So you're bagging on an engine and transmission combo you don't even own but may have only driven a few times?

    I bet.

The 2.7 will also easily outlive 1GR/2GR IMHO.

Driven it. Have the same transmission. I would never own a 3.5.

The higher towing capacity of the Taco was my defense against having to get the 4R my wife really wanted.

It will. But man … that’s a lot of time to be spending in something that weighs 4K lbs and an hp rating that starts with a 1

It's nuts that the base engine is 243 and the Max hybrid is 465.

If I was considering paying nearly $60k for a 4Runner, I’d just spend the extra cash & get a new Sequoia TRD. I love 4Rs, but the Sequoias are another league.

That profile and stance looks great. If That was a regular cab Tundra short bed with that same wheel base maybe an inch or two longer. I would definitely drive a 3G Tundra.

What’s funny is that I don’t care at all for the new Tundra but the first time I saw the new Sequoia, my jaw hit the floor. LOVED it. Kinda bummed that I don’t actually need one.

Looks much better in SUV form, I think I have only seen Pro Sequioas on the road seen some other variants at the dealer. The wide tires don't hurt either.

The 3rd gen performed worse than its predecessors. Even read the comments. Not one person favors a 3rd gen engine or transmission over the older models.
