Bilstein 5100's w/ 33's?

Hey guys! I'm thinking of upgrading my tire sizes to 285/70/17, and was wondering if it would clear, or require cutting with the "lift" setup I have.

In the front, I am running 5100's at the 4th notch (about 1.5" lift) - and in the rear, I have Eibach 1" blocks. I have the OEM 2021 4Runner PRO wheels, which sits at a +4 mm offset. Is anyone running the same or similar setup with 33's and know if I'll have to be cutting or if it'd clear?

You should worry about scrub radius, not lift. Wheel offset is the key.

 

I honestly don’t know anything about offsets. I have the OEM 4runner PRO wheels off a 2021 4runner. I think it’s +4 mm if that helps.

 

A lot of people have been having success with 0 offset. You should get away without trimming with those wheels, possibly some minor plastic trimming if any.

 

OP, I have the same set up. First I had 265 Toyo AT2s on 5100s on the 4th notch and a one inch block and then just wanted the 285s. I put a set of Toyo Open Country AT3s SL rated on my 4Runner SEMA wheels and no issues. I rubbed a tiny bit on the pass side OEM guard, then I enlarged the bottom hole of the mud guards and adjusted the front guards back almost an 3/4 inch. No issues after that, no cab chop, no trimming or cutting. I then went back to the Off Road shop and had them raise the front up to the 5th setting for a more leveled look but still has a ever sol slight rake and a new alignment, well no where even close to rubbing. In fact it rides better on the newer AT3s also I had the tune updated to the KDMAX 10 and a inline calibrator for the calibration. Its a great set up!

 

I’m also thinking I should get my front raised to the 5th notch. Are you on stock springs?

Yep. Love it better on the top setting. The new tires are a better riding tire than the old at2s. I personally think its the tires being better and more rubber on the ground.
