2007 Oxygen Sensors......

popping code for O2 sensor, I replaced the Mass Air Flow sensor under the hood, still throwing code so I guess its the ones mounted on my exhaust... Question, are both of those the same? Can I just buy two and put them in?

 

there are 2 O2 sensors per side in the exhaust system (so 2 for I4 and 4 for V6)
code should point to the bad one by it's number

Are they all the same part number? like could I just buy 4 of the same and replace them all?

 

Nope.
You have 2x A/F sensors
And 2x O2 sensors.

Over 50% of time, it’s not the O2 sensors that are causing the code(s)

P0174 was the code.

Gives me issues if I drive it, turn it off, then start it back up 15 min later… sputters but eventually pulls out of it, sometimes a quick restart seems to reset things and it’s smooth sailing

O2 sensors wear out around 100k. I replaced mine.

lean code is usually fuel pump dying. The mixture is lean because it can’t get enough fuel to the engine. Toyota did not put replaceable fuel filters.

yes there is more testing and inspecting you can do to narrow down diagnosis.

 

That code has nothing to do with the O2 sensor.
It’s set by the Air Fuel sensor.

It set because the Bank 2 (Drivers side) A/F sensor is reporting a Lean condition.
The A/F sensor it the one before the converter and closest to the engine.

 

That code is Fuel System Lean Bank 2, typically it's not the AFR/O2 sensor but a fuel or air metering issue.

I would want to look at long and short term fuel trims on both banks at idle and while driving, if one bank is way different than the other then it's more likely an AFR sensor problem. If they are both lean then it's more likely a fuel pressure issue or vacuum leak.

 

I can get these readings from the code scanner?

 

If it can view live data yes.

 

So Drivers side, before the converter? I may just replace them all... I'm over 200k now... trying to keep this thing on the road. thanks for the help guys

 

does anyone have a part number chart for these?

 

im having the same issue currently. fuel trims are identical and i am getting 44 psi to fuel rails, so im thinking i may have a vacuum issue? i have no cats just straight pipe. but with piggy back that should rule that out. where would i find a diagram of vacuum lines to chase down with a can of starting fluid?
