What do the ground wires at EA and IG look like?

Make sure you clean and tighten you contacts all of the main ones. I had this similar issue with a ranger I had it turned out to be bad battery terminals.

Just got back from batteries plus and the battery is fine. they tested everything from volts to amps to a stress test and it performed excellent at a 70% charge.

Any other attempts are done for the day as it started to rain and it's not in a garage :(

I think tomorrow I'm probably gonna end up having it towed to the Toyota dealership and ill let one of their techs play with it. I'm almost certain that the ECU got a surge and fried but I want a professional to take a look. def going to hurt the bank but I need my truck.

There are 2 ground wires that ground the chassis to the battery, one that comes off of the inner fender by the battery that is not connected and one that comes off the firewall to the cylinder head. Connect the fender wire and get back to us.

That cut wire should be the main body ground to the battery, that means the current had to have found an alternate path probably though another much smaller ground wire.
I'd want to look at all the wires going to all the ground points on the body for any that are burned or melted.

Carefully look at the sides of the plastic box that holds your fuses. There is a sliding secret door. I did what you did before and the fuse is in there. I am surprised nobody knows.

It looks like he fried the neg term to body ground wire...
straps are way over rated anyways....

That means his only ground is off the engine mount....

So that one little wire WAS grounding ecm, body electronics, injectors, coil packs, light bulbs, and all the engine sensors at the same time...........wow...that was a busy little wire.....bless its heart....

I dont see anything wrong with that...
