    Now we are getting somewhere!

I believe our subject is an early model Mack DM series. (1966-85)
    DM stood for Dump/Mixer chassis.

Based on the popular R series the RM (centered cab) & DM (offset cab) were extra heavy duty trucks custom built for a specific job.
The cab is offset to the driver side for better visibility in close maneuvering situations or when accuracy in spotting a line is essential.

Note the prominent visor on the DM 800 below.

Mack had their own in-house manufactured engines, also used Cummins & Cat.

My grandfather was actually an engineer at Mack back in the day. Had the patent for the cruise control system on one of the models. Obviously never got any royalties as it was under Mack.

Also was an engineer for Cummin's as well. I think he worked on the light duty truck division when Chrysler was first putting the 5.9 into the trucks in the 80's.

EDIT: I do have some of his Mack pins and such and even his badge at Cummin's somewhere. Sounds like a far fetched story, but this one is no BS.
