Best/cheapest head unit with apple CarPlay for 2017 taco!?

Looking for the best cheapest head unit with CarPlay in my 17 taco trd-or. Thanks

 

What's your goals with the system?

The reason I ask is there are solutions which let you convert the stock Entune 2.0 HU to run CarPlay as seen in this thread here. I have it in my truck and while I definitely see the drawbacks it will get you CarPlay for $199.99.

Of course if you want to go with a completely different HU that's a whole other ballgame and something you might want to spend some time in the audio subforum poking around.

 

You might clarify; best or cheapest? It’ll help others give recommendations.

Pioneer NEX series are solid. I’ve had now for 3 + years. Auto WiFi connect is great.

Pioneer DMH1500nex , really like it, had it for 4 years so far, it’s discontinued now.
Crutchfield is a good place to check out units and get an idea of prices.
