I currently have the raptor lights in the grille of the truck coming on when the truck is running. I'm looking to have the side markers in the headlights to do the same thing but can't find anything on how to do this.

Already added the parts from Toyota for factory DRLs.

(Note: This is the truck my daughter drives more than me and making her more visible on the road for a new driver is my end goal here.)

Connector 1C positions 2 & 11 are the wires going towards the side markers in the headlights.

Wire the raptor lights to come on with the markers, and just flip the switch over when you want them all on.

I did that initially but was wanting to have all the amber lights on without the tail lights running.

Since you've added the DRL harness with relay, the connector with the Green n RED stripe is there.
The added relay will parallel the DRL function by sharing the same wire that activates it. DRL is turned OFF when Low beams are selected. This switches fused power source to the markers.
So you get markers ON after parking brake release. Then since the light stalk selects TAILS (parking) lights, added relay stays ON. Once the light stalk selects Low Beams, Tails continue to be powered but the relay looses DRL feature, but markers "become" OEM again.

For IGN source, you can place the add-a-fuse in the empty slot next to IG1 No.2. Leave bottom empty, make sure wire faces UP.

hello, I found this thread on a search, I have a fuse in that location, marked #8 BKUP LP in the manual, I have the towing package, I want to tap that for the grill lights, and I see you say make sure the wire faces up? ive seen some other taps facing down, so im confused on the exact reason and I dont want to make a mistake. ive read a dozen threads of people asking about where to tap fuses for this but no solid answers cause most of the info is for 3rd gens. can you help? :)

It's because the battery source is at the bottom and the serviced circuit is on top. If for some reason the add-a-fuse fuse does its job, the circuit is tapped at won't be without power.
