    Im not 100% sure but it looks to me like you caught a single spider right after molt. Spiders will shed their skin like a snake and leave behind an exact replica of what they once were, only hollow.

    It’s definitely two of them mating, the black one, I believe to be the female, was hanging around for a few weeks, just sitting there on the mesh, and then one day I saw the bright orange one hanging out next to her, and then they were joined together at their lower bodies for 24 hours or so, and after that I never saw them again. Really strange looking, almost a cross between a praying mantis, a spider and a cricket. I know there are spider crickets but these guys have flat-like tales, or lower bodies, and with ridges too, that do not match up with what I’ve seen on spider crickets, but then again, maybe they are spider crickets…:notsure:

    I know the photo I posted sucks, here’s a zoomed out variant of the same one, maybe it will help. This was taken before they got to the sexy time. I think the male was treading carefully, he was like this for a good while before their bodies attached.

    And for all you RVers, this is exactly the reason why you screen mesh all your ports.:thumbsup:
