NFL Trash Talkers Thread

Since the AFC South and NFC South divisions play each other this year, all of them have 10 games against each other. That means more than just Jacksonville might have a winning record out of these 2 garbage divisions. Then again, all 8 might end up 5-11 (5-5 against each other).

 

What team do you pull for? I do hope the Panthers play them so we can talk more lol. I scrolled to see who your fav team is but all I saw was trash talk about most every other team haha. Fess up, don’t be skeered!

 

CHIEFS !!! And not just a fair weather fan during these golden years. Been a fan through the pre-Mahomes years where they only won 4 playoff games in 48 years (I was at 2 of them). That said, I just love the NFL in general and love ‘friendly’ trash talk. I hope Young brings you home at least 1 trophy, just not against us!

 

Fair enough, definitely a top team there. My post about the Panthers was tongue in cheek trash talk, pure hope lol. I really don’t expect immediate an turnaround but why not have a little hope that I might be surprised.

 

You’re definitely not a contender yet, but no reason not to be optimistic. Your division is wide open and some early success is great for building on. Outside my own team I route for teams that haven’t won it all yet. I’d even like to see Josh Allen and Joe Burrow get a ring. But just ONE RING while Patrick gets 5 (a 3rd before Big Red retires and 2 more later on).

All that said, this is the trash talk thread and I’ll bring it!

I’m local and had season tickets a few decades ago but gave them up once kids got here (it was either keep the tickets or feed the kids). Got to see some great Joe Montana games! The OT playoff comeback over the Steelers. The great Monday night dual out in Denver against Elway. Elway runs it in with 89 seconds to play to take the lead and Montana throws a winning TD with 8 seconds to go (8 seconds, sound familiar Eagle fans?). Hats off to the home fans in Denver for treating me kindly that game. That and the ‘93 AFC title game in Buffalo are my only road trips so far. Hope for more once retirement gets here.

 

I’m close to Charlotte where the Panthers play, but also a Carolina Hurricanes hockey fan (Raleigh), and long time Atlanta Braves fan. No mlb in NC so I’ve travelled to Atlanta to see the Braves play (years ago) when some of the greats were playing. I do get to brag about the Braves these days at least lol.

 

Canadian question.

Did all the St Louis fans migrate to KC after the team left? Does the four surrounding states all cheer for KC? (KC not being in Kansas hurts my brain)

I can just imagine the bandwagoning.

I jumped on Seattle while my buddy was a ravens during the rice era, and I got lumped into a bandwagon lol.

 

St.Louis is really a baseball town and there is some animosity between the two cities. Ask them about Game 6 of the 1985 World Series to get them riled up. I don’t know that they have adopted the Chiefs in any manor. Iowa has some fans but Vikings and Bears are also close enough to split allegiance. Nebraska (my roots) only care about the Huskers even though they have stunk for 20 years. Maybe some Oklahoma fans but I’m sure the Cowboys have more fans there than we do.

There is a Kansas City on both sides of the river, Kansas and Missouri. The Missouri side is just bigger. Rumors starting that the Kansas side will try and lure them to jump over if they ever get tired of Arrowhead.

Local kid gives back. I find this cool because we're a small town and he went to my Eagles.

 

6 weeks !!!!!

 

I hate him.. in every way possible aside from the one redeeming quality of being a decent human being.

I cannot wait for the day we move on from that fucking idiot
