Hey I am not far from you. Did you buy your tacoma new or used?
I am in Island Pond, close to 3 (18 Miles) and Colebrook. I snowmobile a lot through Lancaster off the powerline over to points
East. We did not get hit with the flooding, but I have friends in Bolton Flats near Richmond/Winooski River and it is surrounding their place now. They got evacuated to Bolton Valley Ski Resort, were able to check on their house using kayaks.

Heading west through Hardwick and Johnson on Rt 15 Devastation. The water is up to the top of the windows at Sterling Market, literally 8 feet of water in downtown Johnson. Crazy. I was just over there last week handing out at Dog Falls. That river had to be raging!!

If you ever looking for Vermont Trails, you can do the powerlines from Paul Stream Rd in Maidstone or sneak in by Victory town hall. It is a lot of paper land managed by LandVest. not State land. Silvio Conte is Federal open land with some has some nice forest roads along with West Mountain WMA State Land. I go out in there all the time.

I got this one used in 2017. At the time I had an ‘07 with over 350k miles on it so I got the ‘15 as a Certified PreOwned.

I’m not much of a trail guy at this point. Too much stuff to do otherwise :anonymous:

Glad to hear you got through it ok. Good luck to your friends and family.

I made the dumb mistake of selling my factory 16s because I thought i needed new 17 inch winter wheels to match my new size...

    @Jeffch
I gave up my 3GEN allocation if anyone is looking for a TRD OR MGM go to WRJ toyota. The waiting made me appreciate what I had so I drove to Maine yesterday to pick up these brand new 23 OR wheels, tires and sensors. My truck drove beautifully.
Nothing against 3GEN at all. The waiting really got me along with the process now of buying.I guess I'm old school lol and like the negotiating part. That has gone out the window along with you get what you get unless a unicorn falls into your lap.
The tire set has 65 miles from dealer to tire shop. The girl lived off grid needed E rated and steel rims for driveway. Her truck was sick though. Factory lifted TRD OR MT. I was pretty jealous. A grand and a nice drive through the White Mtns & Westen/Central Maine for the tire set.

I picked up some FJ alloys for a song and had them powdercoated. Prior to that I was using some FJ steelies as winter wheels and was going to have those powdered mostly for the laughs (but also because gold NATO-style wheels would look amazing), but the alloys were too cheap to pass up. Now the steelies are just taking up room in the wheel pile in the shed.

Craigslist is still a good place to score good deals on wheels, and Taco/FJ/4Runner sets come up all the time.

    That’s cool,
I’d have kept my 12 but just the rust was getting to me. It was pretty rusted frame wise when I got it after my 08 with new frame etc was totaled.
I was hoping to get a frame on the 12 but wasn’t gonna get a hole before time was up!

Yeah I think the only thing that saved my frame was the treatment done (and after) from day 1 before it left Heritage's lot.
Toyota CRC'd in 2019. I don't think I'll ever get a new frame either so...
I'm going to splurge on paying for Northeast Kingdom business NHOIL guy who does it on a mobile raised trailer up here. He advertises on FB and does all the fire departments, town garage vehicles along with privately owned cars.

I’ve thought about going to them also.
Seems they do good and are set up to properly get all of the frame and components.

    Hello.

I know there are several members in New England doing Fluidfilm/Woolwax application, but they're both a pretty decent haul from most of VT.

If anyone wants their truck (or other vehicles) done with WoolWax this fall, let me know - I'm up in the NEK, close to Lyndonville, and can schedule most days and times.

$100 for cars/midsize trucks/crossovers, $150 for fullsize trucks/SUVs. Full coverage application to frames including crossmembers, inside (where possible) and out.

    Thanks!

I've been doing the same since before I moved up here and was starting to think about getting a date scheduled for this fall again, but maybe I'll just step back from doing it this year. I'll still get my own vehicles done but that'll likely be it.

I do still need to get that wheel from you, I just haven't been up that way very much this summer, you going to be around next weekend?

Oh shit man, not my intention to break your rice bowl, I totally forgot you were actually that close. Yeah, I'll be around next weekend, I'll pull it out of the wheel pile for you when I get home tomorrow.

Oh, no worries at all. I've only had a couple folks show up, seems most people up here either do it themselves or know a guy. I'd get 10-12 people for one day of spraying frames in MA and only had 3 (including myself) last year.

Thanks again for grabbing and holding that wheel. I'll likely be up biking at Kingdom Trails next weekend with @mach1man001 (Are you still coming up Rob?) and I can drop a line and swing by your place to grab it before heading home.
