If you have the time, I bet you could learn to make your own custom pad from watching Youtube videos, etc. Might be worth a shot for less than a $100 in materials? If I didn't work for a living I would try to do all of it myself :)

My current platform is built from plywood with a layer of foam flooring from Home Depot glued down on top, then some car floor carpet upholstered over top. The foam adds a bit of softness for a decent price (especially combined with a blanket so she can fiddle with that for maximum comfort.)

My next project back there would be to add this heating pad to the cushion somehow (maybe just under it): https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0009Y2CFS

I redid my second battery setup last summer, so now I have a 100 amp hour lithium smart battery. I can run one of these blankets for 9 hours and only use about 30% of the battery. We tested this out cold camping last season and it worked great up in our RTT. Now we're thinking the dogs should get their own??

Realize it’s been about a year since anyone has posted in this but what does everyone think about mounting Milwaukee pack outs to these? I have 2 socket sets I wanna secure but thinking they might be a bit heavy. One weighs 22lbs and the other is 17lb.

It might not work simply because the metal edges of the panel openings could cut the mounting straps, even zip ties. The load will have constant vibration working against the straps and then there's the hard jolts from potholes, speed bumps, etc.. So, even if the panel never warps from the load, mounting techniques alone may prevent it.

The Grayman molle panels are glass injected nylon. They would hold the weight just fine and they have smooth edges so they wouldn't cut through beefy zip ties easily. You could always use nicer straps to secure them, too. That being said, its always wise to consider worst case scenario. You wouldn't want these boxes or their contents flying around in a roll over.

You might be able to just straight mount a milwaukee wall mount (if that exists) to the molle panel, then attach the packout to it.
