What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

I got around to washing it. Lots of bugs from the recent long road trip.

 

I did an oil change, changed out front brake pads, washed and vacuumed my 2006

 

Looks really good especially for an 2006.

 

Thanks, paint is fading on hood, top and sides of fenders though

 

I'm in the middle of doing this as well. Found a set of LCA's and spindles on OfferUp to swap over and then I'm gonna rebuild the lowers and gusset the spindles as well. At least I'll have a drivable truck in case something goes wrong haha

 

Did the body mount the few last day.

Had some problem with the part in the Whiteline kit but the job turned out great. Had to redo the hole in the 8 cab washer and plate mount. The job took 20 hours with the interior clean up and putting back everything together. I'm sure this can take way less time to complete but we love our road salty here so i took my time to not snap or strip a bolt.

It was a great opportunity to clean the frame where the bushing go. You can't realy put your hand here when the bushing is installed. I was good to remove alot of sand/gunk. I was happy to see paint and no rust with all this dirt sitting there for maybe 10 year. Covered the inside with rustproofing oil and installed the bushing.

 

That angle makes it look like your bed is frowning lol.

If it's not just the angle, and that's something you actually did...that looks pretty cool.

 

Took a 2800 mile round trip road trip to marry my best friend. Truck didn't skip a beat. Love my Toyota..wife.

Heat wrapped my transmission cooler line all the way from from transmission to the coolers to try and help with the temp.

Finally got around to finishing up my front bump stop mounts.

 

Cleared up my headlights the other week with a 3M restoration kit. Easy enough to complete, and WAY less expensive than replacement. Driver's side progression pics to show the results. Very happy right now, much clearer, and better light at night as well.

Ordered a cheap Tonneau cover to replace my original aftermarket 11yr old cover. It was 40% off on Prime Day... Its a cover but basically not happy with the fit, finish, or attachment points. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B2L96L3M. I'll be surprised if it lasts more than a year or so but better than the torn/faded cover I guess. I did not pay $219 and it is not worth $219.

 

Finally finished wiring my aux battery and got to see some things work for the first time!
