Congrats on 29 years. Had my 29 years in May. Nobody waiting for me to retire, we can’t hire people that are qualified! We just hired a guy on my “say so”. He got $5K signing bonus (envious as hell) but he continues to outperform the two hired before him.

My wife works with a kitten rescue. We bottle feed and socialize until they 2#, when they are spayed neutered. Send them to second step where from there they go to there forever homes.

Congrats on getting the kittys to happy safe homes.

I just got inside, it's getting too late to be making noise with the 3/8 impactor driving in deck screws. I got 5 more boards down, I'm getting into a rhythm. Maybe by the end of the week the decking will be down. I wanted to place hand railing stanchions before the decking, but this thing is to too high off of the ground to be moving ladders nonstop. Now I will have some solid footing to work off of. At least that's my current theory.

It feels a bit "cool", like it the mid 60's. Windows open and ceiling fans drawing in some fresh air, it will help with getting better sleep.

 

Out here it's hard to find homes for kitties.... there are SO MANY of them. Dog's too

I've spent 3 overnights in the hospital in the last 4 years..... Last time my IV ran out and the stupid machine started beeping - couldn't shut it off and the CNA couldn't either.... he said he'd tell the nurse. An hour later she still hadn't come in, so I called. I know the nurses are busy, and the beeping was annoying, but not life threatening..... If there is a next time, I'll put it outside the door and sit in the chair until someone comes.... and let the beeping annoy others

Yuma Humane Society and Petsmart have been doing free adoptions for about a month or so because they have so many. They even have the construction type electronic sign boards advertising it.

 

The other day I was taking my son to the park like I do everyday, but as soon I got out of my truck this guy approaches me shaking my hand and he say's "I didn't get your name". I was kind of confused and I was thinking that he was one of the dads from my sons preschool. So it turns out that he was meeting someone else there that was selling a 2015 Tacoma but that guy wasn't there yet. I'm thinking he was probably pretty stoked when he saw my truck cuz it's so clean and probably a little disappointed when the other guy arrived

The wife leaves for Dallas this morning. She won't be back until late Sunday night.
I've got plenty to do this weekend. I have another WI TW get together next weekend.

 

Back in the day before our cats were fixed, we had same type issues. People not showing up. Kittens were always free. People wouldn't want it because they didn't have any shots. If the kitten had its shots it wouldn't be free.
