Ever had the spicy pickled okra?

 

Yes, it’s good. Our daughter grew and pickled some okra last year

I’m not familiar with boiled okra, but I’ll agree it’s an excellent vegetable. I particularly enjoy the Indian version Bhindi Masala and variants. I definitely eat stewed okra/aka creole okra. Succotash (southern) is also good version as well. We often get fried okra, pickles, or mushrooms as appetizers.

 

How do you differentiate?

You’re cooking it wrong.

 

Again I ask....how come everything that's pickled is called pickled...whatever (such as pickled okra, pickled eggs), yet pickled cucumbers are called....pickles? I just cant compute this.
