Maybe this one will work well. The original never was right, when I complained in warranty, I was told that they had to make changes to get fuel economy. o_O Nothing they could (would) do about it.

Then they wondered why I quit going there once the warranty was up. :notsure:

    I wouldn't. Lol.

Warranty is good at any dealership. Never fear taking your business elsewhere.

Going to a dealer is like going to the dentist. Never an enjoyable experience.

My mechanic suggested an aftermarket unit for $600. He said the warranty is the same. It works the same. Cold air comes out. Time will tell.

Definitely seem like overkill. I've been slowly upgrading/showing love to the front end. Still have gussted spindles and wheel bearings for the front. I plan on swapping the OEM lowers eventually to something like DK or similar. But with the move and the wedding, things have been INSANE.

Looking forward to taking it easy and enjoying mild "winter" down here.

    Those JD uppers are

True, but when the service bay floor is nicer and cleaner than most home kitchen floors, you just KNOW it's going to be a bit spendy!

Kinda makes you wonder if they really work on your truck. They tell you to have seat in the waiting room. Offer you crappy coffee and 2 day old donuts while they pretend to be working, but they're really watching porn.

I thought of that and figured it was too much of a crapshoot.

I can't lie, the initial specs and visuals on the 1958 model have me drooling a bit.

Granted, it's the Prado internationally, but it has a lot to like. Will come with a center and rear locking differential, disconnecting front sway bar, 33s, etc. Initial pricing has been teased in the $50k range, though I'm not sure which of the three models that applies to.

That's the one with the hand crank starter and manual windows.

Yeah, after watching the video, I went from not being sure to really wanting one. Whether or not I'll ever actually own one will depend on a few things...

    - actual pricing, and how much dealerships will gouge

    - the resale value of the 4Runner once these things are actually readily available to purchase.

    - I might wait for the release of the 6th gen 4Runner, if that's even going to be a thing.

If everything were to fall in place, though, I will have a hard time not buying one of them. That is, unless the 6th gen. 4Runner does in fact get released and Toyota really nails it.
