Coolant temp sensor, should get a reading in regular farenheit from your scantool

Fuel pump? At it's age a new fuel pump and filter would be on the agenda regardless. My instinct says it would fail at the high end and not low end.

Mine also starts out around there til it gets warm. It idles kinda rough sometimes, but I don’t have codes either. I figured it must be some vacuum leak somewhere. I may have it smoke tested at some point.

oh ya, i remember when they broke that re installing it on the slug. It had issues I remember. This truck it works well, sits in the middle after it warms a bit. I'll have the scanner tool this evening to verify

per p.o it was changed. They did the one cat brand new, o2 sensor, plugs and wires. To me it seems the guy was already chasing this, who knows. Could still be a bad pump, does the filter come with the pump as one unit?

you'll know if u have my issue. Shit scares me when it goes limp, already in a boot from my leg

The sender for the gauge and for the computer are different, if the computer one reads inaccurately then you get poor running behavior. Garbage in = garbage out

Another possibility, but I'd exhaust the simple stuff first, is that it slipped timing.

Is the CEL on solid? They only flash when there's a misfire. Flashing CEL basically means don't drive it, fix it asap

It's nice timing and crankshaft position sensor are low on the probability. they said the timing was done around 150k miles and its at 229k. I'll pull the temp numbers this evening, need to redownload torque

CEL wont even flash at all when it happens, gas pedal just goes dead if i keep on it while it surges. The CEL does work I made sure

Thank you all for helping me while i pick brains!!!

When was the last time it had simple shit like plugs, coil boots, wires? Inspected coils and plugs for cracks and carbon tracks?

Is this happening once it's all the way up to temp? While warming up? Both?

Fuck, I put shorts on this morning to walk Dex and then forgot to put pants on before I went to work

Kind of a dumb thing to worry about but I'm pretty sure it goes against company policy lol

the fuel filter for the 3.4l is on the inside of the frame rail behind the driver seat, separate of the pump. Pretty easy to get to and change. Unless its different on the T100s

guy said plugs and wires were just done, still a possibility tho, but idk why a cel wouldnt be flashing. maybe issue with coil boot, good idea

seems to get worse the more u drive it, ya. have had it do it off the first stop sign from my neighborhood. But i had already been driving it and it was more warmed up then

Ill take a peek at that then and see if its still the original. Everything else has been so far, maybe the shop he went to only did the pump

Really helps you really get at it as a DIYer.

So yeah I'd go with everyone's suggestions, not to mention I side on the side of caution and rarely believe what a seller tells me without actual proof of said work/invoices.
