Hello folks, I’m the Dizzy1 and am extremely great full that there y’all are with same interests. It’s blessing to have found this.
With that said, I desperately need help, with my ‘99 pre runner. I’m searching for a 60/40 bench seats so I can travel with my service dog. We both are getting old and she has a hard time with the bucket seat and my 4Runner is to high for her as well. So if anyone has any info on said items, I’d truly appreciate it. Oh, looking to trade and or buy. Oh! And ya, how do I get to section of this site to browse parts to purchase. As most of y’all have already guessed, I’m not that internet savvy, savvy?

Thank you so much. Truly appreciated!

BTW…..I also have a ‘97 Runner with a 3”lift and wanting to make it mission ready. Any advice will also be appreciated. Thank you.

What kind of missions we talkin' about here? All depends on what you plan on doing. Type of driving, terrain etc....

Not extreme, just be able to go camping and a bit off road just to test my skills and her capabilities. Bunny slopes sorta speak but better. I have to have some work done with the front bushings drive shaft. (Had NO clue that I needed different shaft and not stock for the lift). Live & learn. Brakes are and issue too but I trust her ass!

side note. I left my soon to be wife for this 4Runner! That is how much I love this truck!
    Thanks for lending and ear.

Honestly with the 3" lift, throwing on larger more aggressive tires will get you pretty far. A good spotter would do the same

She has some front end issues that I’d like to fix soon. Next month hopefully. I looked into O’Rileys and considering getting the parts there and have my cousin help me or if I can afford it then and a shop do it. All depends on the pocket book.
Hey, thank you all the intel. Good looking out.

@Dizzy1 I'd encourage you to try and source OEM Toyota parts for both of your rigs. Especially the front end stuff you're looking to do on your 4runner. Aftermarket parts from O'Reilly's, Napa, AutoZone, etc. just often aren't of nearly the same quality and durability. Some of them may offer lifetime replacement guarantees, but that means everytime they wear out (which will be far quicker and more often than the Toyota OEM parts), you'll be having to do the job all over again.

Ok y’all, I realize that this thread is for Tacomas and asking about both my Tacoma and the Runner. I truly do appreciate all of the advice. I’m new to the whole lift game and didn’t realize how we all share our love for our trucks. Respect!
I also wanted to know if I’d need a different driveshaft other than the stock?
    I think I do but…..

I see no reason why you would require a new driveshaft. Tons of people, myself included are all using stock driveshafts on lifted Tacomas (without issue). Can't see why the 4runner would be any different in that regard

Ok thank you Red under scroll 03 Taco.

I Thought the same but like you said, auto parts store parts.

“Buy once, cry once”. Like you said earlier.
I found another upgrade to my “Taco Runner”. Found a chrome push bumper. I’ll have to wait to install it after my epidural shot in my spine.
I think my girl is pretty. Thank you again guys.

@Dizzy1 most of us, me included dont like the 60/40 seats. post where your at and maybe some trade can be done so you can switch your buckets out with someone who doesn't want 60/40s. Had you been in my area (Hawaii) i'd trade you in a heartbeat, in my old truck that is lol.

    Thank you Sebz13,
    Bradah! Bula (Fiji Kid).

Appreciate it, I’d trade with you in heartbeat for the bench for my kid (Nala). She’s getting old and have to assist her in and out of trucks. She hates the bucket seats, (I know! Cuz she flips me off with her eyes)!

    Thank man. Appreciate you.
