I've had luck with Moog bearings. They use NSK bearings like factory

I only watched the 1st minute or two but I like it. It should have the Tundra V6 engine options though.

I really want that shipping container with the retro stripes!

I had pretty terrible luck with Moog u-joints. The tolerance and fitment was awful so that turned me away from them as a company. If they can't get their tolerances in check, I wouldn't want them for a critical bearing.

I'm hoping it replaces the niche that the 4r occupies now and they dumb the 4runner down for us peasants :spy:

Yea but I don't think they actually make the bearing, I think they just use the NSK bearing. Now their unit bearings with the flange, fair, since they may have manufactured the flange and the press fit diameter that goes into the ID of the bearing

Dang - about 2 hours away :( I have a sweet spot down here in RI too! One fresh, one brackish.

We gotta set up a paddle day. @AllTacosFloat I think we tried to last year and it fell through.

We could do the Somerset Airfield/Resevoir too, can camp there the night before/after. It's an open spot though, you could get stuck next to someone with a generator all night

I want one of those, badly. I should get one soon. That one looks fine, I like that it has the schrader valve connection, then you can go to any gas station hookup and use it too. There seems to be a couple "tiers" of those, with the lower tier being a slap-dash cheap approach, and the higher tier being similar to that one, with more robust hoses and fittings.

Why? I'm not seeing what you gain by that, still going to take the same amount of time to inflate 4 tires. I've also not had good luck with those types of fittings actually sealing on a valve stem, one slightly loosens and you're pissing into the wind trying to fill your tires. Personally, I have no use for something like that, I can see it being more frustrating that useful. Single air line, one tire at a time for me.

I started by building that, then didn’t want the pile of air lines. I basically built that but hid it in the frame.
I have plenty of air line if you don’t mind yellow.

You can air up or down all 4 at the same time.
The valve stem is the pinch point for the air, so if the compressor is up to it it will fill all 4 faster than going from one tire to the next.

I’m usually done airing up and helping others that are doing one at a time.

What chucks do you have that actually seal to the valve stem? I've never had a connection like that reliably seal to the valve stem, I usually have to keep pressure on it. I understand the concept, I just can't see it working in real life because of that.

I just bought this one last week https://www.etsy.com/listing/1244726687/ez-air-system?ref=yr_purchases
The green color is flexzilla hose so I know that's pretty good at least, and for the price it's about what it'd cost in material to diy so I said screw it. If a component fails I'll just slowly upgrade it, but having the upfront cost out of the way is nice. Arb twin can easily pump up all 4 and I'm saving the downtime of switching tires, airing down should be nice too since pressure equalizes and I can check em from one spot :D
