    Lol. My son is going through this. He just bought last year and the school district is trying to jack up his assessment. He hired an attorney for this and so far after the first appeal he's looking good as to roll back the value to 2012 . The attorney knows all the ins and outs of this broken system. Years past I've fought ours on our own and sort of won, meaning they did lower it compared to what they thought it was worth. You have to fight it , this will affect your taxes for years to come. Good luck.

    Good luck. I appealed my my assessment the last time county did this. It was supposed to be revenue neutral. Some properties went up some went down and some stayed the same. Mine went up. I was able to get mine lowered on appeal.

    I don't think I had much luck. As I mentioned other properties around me they asked me if I had their new assessed values. When I asked how I would get that information, I was told the process on how to do so was on the appeal paper I filled out online, that I needed to go to the courthouse and research it, even though it appeared they had all this information in front of them. So, I tried to appeal the property values (set at $50,100 :rofl:) but they told me the same process applies.
