    Bought a Taco this year and loving it so far.

    Hoping to learn a lot from the forum and avoid some problems and maximize the value/life of the vehicle.

    Was considering the wait for the new gen, but figured I could always get a new gen but won't be able to get a new "old style" after this year.

    Was hoping someone could give me a tldr on how to protect my tailgate from theft and let me know how often dealers catch people doing tunes and void the warranty. Interested in doing an OTT.

    There's the cheap and easy hose clamp mod. Did it on my old Tacoma. You put a hose clamp around the right "hinge" on the tailgate. I even put some electrical tape on there to keep it from possibly scratching it up. Not perfect but is a cheap and easy way to deter theft. There's also someone on here that sells a bracket that protects it.
    Here's the "hinge" though its on my F150 they look identical...
