Here in MN you cant do stuff like that. In fact they just passed a law to let us use 2 lines on this river (all other water is still 1 line). MN while a great fishing destination has some pretty strict rules on fishing.

I have those same camo crocs. People just don’t get how cool you have to be to wear something so uncool but still rock the look. Its like my fitover sunglasses that go over my regular glasses. i mean anybody can look cool in a pair of Costas or raybans.

 

Yep, all the regulations we have only hurt the people who follow them. I see the same people every day limiting out on crappie and bass at some lakes, ignoring possession limits.... those lakes are now dead.

Make your way up north and I will give you some lake trout fillets. Got a deep water trip planned this weekend in lake superior for giant lake trout, but I also plan to hit the st croix for walleye.

 

Lakers on the jig at 90+ feet is qjat I'm doing tomorrow since the rainbows and landlocked Atlantic aren't biting on the troll apparently

 

Nice, yeah I had to move on to the river since lakes and ponds are so beaten up right now. Waters too low, weeds too high, and jet skis all over. On the river all I have to deal with is the occasional barge coming by.

 

Fk..my lake hit a 110 year high waterline after flooding 2 weeks ago and the trout are spread out far between but I've been marking lakers in the usual deep points.

Gunna bust out metal ice fishing jigs cause they're so deep...Swedish pimples and medium weight rubber bulldogs with the googly tails...lol

 

I get out the ice jigs usually around this time too for the deep water fish, using a 36 inch ugly stik dock runner and jigging right off the side of my kayak is good fun.

 

Not even close to the slot limit size but the trend is trending upwards! Lol

 

A quick trip to lake guntersville for an anniversary weekend. We hadn't caught anything but milfoil, and finally had a ~2 lber help convince my wife that there were at least some fish in the lake. Also walked up on a fully clothed body seemingly washed up on the bank that you can see over my right shoulder there, 2 boats had docked right as we were walking up, I asked if he was with them and they were like "who? Oh my gosh we have to call 911" another ran over saying she was a nurse, as the lady on the phone with 911 was giving location and details, the nurse got the guy to sit up (I 100% knew he was dead) and police and first responders showed up in just a couple minutes. Guy told the cop he was homeless and was just washing his clothes. I told my wife he fell asleep on the job if he was washing his clothes... Still a pretty freaky situation

 

One smallmouth this morning on the river.
See if I can wade the creek and pull some trout out tomorrow.

 

I'm always amazed at how strong rhe smallmouth are no matter the size...so much torque lol
