Every single one, they even carved out some level 6 trails just for me I was making it look too easy

Just kidding I’m more of a park roads guy myself. Been going kind of easy since it’s been a 100 mile 1 way drive. Just moved to Cedar Park so being 30 miles away from home may make me try a level 2

Exactly - with race trucks most classes mandate a "truck" body if this just means a fiberglass shell over a tube chassis so the tires have to slide into them unlike ultra 4 or buggy classes where the wheels are able to be ran outboard of any body panels.

Prerunners usually want to maintain the truck look vs. a crawler-esque dovetailed in look and use wider rear glass or dovetail the bedsides out (or both) to get big tires with a lot of up travel to tuck as well.

If I have my shit back together and road worthy I might try to come by if I wouldn’t be crashing the party. I’m up around barnwell but I have been wanting to check it out.

side note - anyone have recommendations for shock tuners in TX? Tore into them myself but I don’t have much faith that I will be able to get the setup dialed how I want.

Getting ready to pull the trigger on a set of dirty5s. I got discount tire to price match the milestar Patagonia MT/2s to $221 a tire. Thinking that’s the best I’m gonna do price wise. Just hoping they last. I’ve been spoiled with these Falken wildpeaks

I am not a good example of making them last since I run 18psi in and in the cinders 98% of the time. When I was originally researching them I was reading reports of full size trucks running them and getting 40-50k miles with proper pressure and rotations. Mine lasted about 8k miles the way I abuse them.

That said, amazing traction in all terrains, dry, wet, dirt, sand, snow, etc. can’t really comment on road noise because everything else on my truck is so loud it doesn’t matter how loud the tires are. I was sad to leave my Goodyear duratracs which I ran for probably 10 years on multiple trucks, but they don’t make 37’s and I’m glad k gave the Patagonia’s a chance. On my second set and still loving them.

Did the kit come with tie rod extensions? Also does it come with complete axle assemblies or just shafts? Not much info out on that kit. Thanks!

Yeah I’ve heard good reports about the performance. I should add though, I still daily this truck. I’ve gone all in on performance, so just need em to be bearable on the road. People have told me they are surprisingly quiet until they wear down. They’re also D-rated so looking forward to a little less stiffness there.

Yeah I don’t wanna imagine what 37s cost. Even half the 35s are going close to that price. So the milestars also represent budget nicely if I can get miles out of them.

I definitely got lucky with my current set. Not sure how lucky I will be next time. But when I got my first set of 37” Patagonias they were $218 a tire. Cheaper than most 35” options out there. But they were still sort of new and I’m the midst of getting hyped up. I think the hype was worth it. They perform awesome at everything I throw at them including deep snow which is not common for a mud terrain. Unfortunately now I think their 37” option goes for about $330 a tire like you said.

D rating is nice. And as far as noise, they aren’t any louder than my 35” duratracs were and those are a pretty aggressive all terrain tire. But those like probably all big tires with chunky lug patterns, got noticeably louder around 20k miles on every set I owned. I think it has to do with the compound hardening over time and heat cycles more than tread wear.

I swear by my Kenda rts, used to be insanely cheap like the Pattis but they have gone up in cost a bit the last couple of months. Paid $300 ea for my 37s, back in the day I got the 35s for $185 a tire. Think i have like 80k miles total on a couple sets so far on my daily. Nice and quiet, great in the pnw rain/snow and obviously anywhere the truck fits in the rocks. PSX_20221227_085458.jpg IMG_1061.jpg

Yeah man, hit us up on the 9th. Also, only guy I can think of to tune shocks in TX is Hudson Hall in New Braunfels. He operates Comal Truck Gear. Another guy I know at least rebuilds shocks, he’s on TW is @ian2016 i think is his handle. He’s got n Hutto, but not sure if he has the capability to tune shocks.

Might give them a call. I’ll probably keep trying myself there just isn’t really a good place to test nearby me for quick feedback.

If one of your primary concerns is mileage out of the tire, an MT might not be for you. I've been on the MT-01s for a few years now and overall have been happy. I rotate every 5k and try to keep my alignment in check but they do tend to cup a bit. The rotation helps with that. Just ordered my 2nd set, moving to the MT-02s. IMO, they are the best option for price, weight, & performance. I'm willing to sacrifice a bit of mileage though.

What size do you run? They 12.5" wide?

I ran the 35x10.5s for 55k miles with some good wheeling abuse on them, now 37x12.5

Get the replacement certificates, trust me. They don’t care if you damage them while wheeling. I tore a sidewall on my MT and they replaced it no questions asked. Cost me $40 for the new one and it comes with a new certificate.
