    Hello all

Much thanks to all the users here who've contributed to the wealth of knowledge and experience! I will hopefully add a droplet of information in the future. This is my first post and for now I only have questions.

I recently bought a 2015 Tacoma access cab with 6 speed manual transmission. It has 95k and appears to have been decently maintained. There is a SnugTop shell on the bed(apprx 150-200lbs) and it has the 3+1 leaf springs. This is really a 2 part question.

First is about the springs themselves. The stock springs are sitting flat and the ride is fairly comfortable. In addition to the shell, I will regularly be carrying 200-500 lbs of tools and materials. I would like to upgrade the suspension to handle the weight, but I don't want to lift the vehicle. I am aware that new springs are likely to raise the rear somewhat, but I definitely want to avoid needing to modify the DS or get drop brackets. I'm open to and greatful for any suggestions.

The second part of the question may or may not be related.

When driving in the mountains yesterday I noticed a thump when re accelerating after completely letting off the gas. I was in fifth gear and every time I stepped on the pedal I would feel a moderate bump from the rear. All I could think was there must be something with a little play in the suspension. I am handy, but Def no mechanic. Any input would be greatly appreciated. I want this beautiful machine to get the love it needs.

Thanks in advance for any recommendations!

I recently switched out my leaf packs with Icon RTX adjustable leaf packs. Really happy with the performance. You would need to look at their charts for weight vs how much it will sit level or lift. I'm in a 3rd Gen but I know that the packs are for 2nd gen too.. I ended up wanting some lift so went with option 2, and it was just right for what i was going for.
As far as the rear clunk, I am not sure... could just be tiny bit of slack that is taken up when you reaccelerate but I'm sure someone here will know better.

For the rear thump, I would definitely look at all your U-joints and your center bearing

    See Build Page.
Check your drive shaft ujoints. Also look into Deaver springs I have the stage 3 springs and they are beefy.
