So I got the UCA on, now struggling with getting the coil over on.
Have it bolted up top with the 3 bolts, but the bottom is about 2” below the mount I need to get it in, and no way in hell I’m putting force against these springs….
I’ve watched videos on YouTube, seems this part is always “glossed over”
    Any tips ??
Man, I will Venmo some IPAs to anyone that can help
    Haha

Ahh I didn't realize what you were trying to do, thought you were just stripping your factory arm down to sell or something

Yeah you don't use anything from your old arm

Can anyone offer up some information on how to get the bottom bolt into the coil over shock?
3 bolts up top are done but the bottom hole of it is 2 “ below the bracket to mount it into.
There is no way I can compress this big ass spring to install….
Anyone to assist me with this ??

Right. Use some sort of Jack to compress the shock. Use a large drift pin if you have one to help line up the holes. It’s not to difficult.

Yep. The older vehicles are easier to work on.

It’s been a long time - I’m sure YouTube covers this many times

but if I recall … maybe remove the 3 top bolts and take out the shock and start again.
    1. Loosen lower control arm bolts so the lower arm can drop all the way
    2. Put the shock in - lower bolt first
    3. Raise the lca with floor jack and start to thread the 3 top bolts

or switch 2 and 3 which may be where you are … but see if you can lower the LCA and use the jack to raise it into position.

Yeah mark LCA cam bolts before loosening and do it this way, way easier than trying to force things. You are going to need an alignment anyways OP.

FYI If you loosen the LCA cam bolts do not tighten them until the weight of the truck is on the ground.

Or any of the pivot points with rubber bonded bushings (IE most lower shock mounts, OEM UCA to frame)

Finished it last night just as the sun went down. Pretty happy with the outcome, regardless of the struggles I went through. Having an extra set of hands for sure helped last night as i did the rest alone.

I still have to tighten down some things, but was able to put the rims on and move it out of the garage. (Ive had to leave my Harley outside for the last 4 nights, which was stressing me out a bit, but all is good.
    Thanks TW!!
