I'm not a big person so I'd need to start eating a lot or bench pressing tons for this method :). But at least I can slide myself under the truck pretty easily, using the sliders as handles to assist. As much as I'd like to own a fancy jack I just couldn't justify it for the time I don't have, so I used the paint can method. The brand and color didn't seem to matter :) .

That’s when you just tell her $800….because obviously she was asking about an individual wheel and not the set.

Are you set up in this mode? It looks like the camera is just peaking out.

I don't use the back up camera, anyhow. When I got my d.license you had to physically look behind you when going in reverse. lol

    A bunch of shit...
I installed the cupholder last night. Took a whopping 5 minutes, start to finish. I didn't take pictures because, well, it's a cup holder. Sure is nice to be able to fit my Nalgene and coffee cup though.

Zactly what I did. Mine’s not lifted though. That might be a bigger challenge.

Everyone lists the TRD Pro Air intake is for up to 2022 Toyota Tacomas - anyone installed one of those in a 2023? Should also fit right?

I only mentioned it because it was the first method I tried.
I just couldn't really make it work, to where I didn't think I would strip any bolts.

I dropped my skid plate to clean all of the mud from it. I used that method to put it back in. It definitely wasn't easy, but it was do-able.

I probably wouldn't do it again. Would get a couple ramps to get extra clearance and use a jack.

After almost 8 months of taking up room in my garage I finally had (made) time to install the bumper and winch. The kids school is closed this week so I figured they could use some fresh air while I throw this thing on.

Smarter not harder (I'm weak and old and don't feel like throwing out my back)
    20230803_102314.jpg

Went to test the winch before it was all done, almost burned down the truck... no big deal :bananadead:

Got pretty pissed/discouraged but I had to compose myself since the kids were right by me, decided to take a break and see if I could find/fix the problem. Turned out I'm an idiot and hooked up one wire wrong. Shrink wrap and electrical tape to the rescue!

Still need to wire up the light bar but she's solid and the winch works fine now!

    Thanks man.
I have only been driving on them a few days, but I like them quite a bit so far. These are E load rated, but don't feel stiff. Now it's hard to isolate what feels like what when you change the suspension AND tires at the same time, but.. I would say they do a pretty good job of smoothing out our crap roads here. The suspension, and maybe the tires, help it feel more 'planted' overall. They are not dead quiet. They have a sound to them. It is not really obtrusive or anything. You can't hear them with the stereo on. My basis of comparison is the stockers that came on them, and my 2002 4Runner that has 35" Cooper ST Pros, and has had BFG KO2s. The KO2s 'might' have been quieter, but those tires were a bit scary in really wet conditions and crap on icy conditions. I read a ton of reviews on the Toyo ATIII tire page and I am happy so far. In theory, you can get the Falken Wildpeak in the same size. However, DT said that they didn't see any availability in their system. I also wanted a lighter option than some of the other tires I was looking at. For their size, these are on the lighter side. I didn't really consider weight when I was building my 3rd gen 4Runner. This time, I'm trying to make good decisions to get what I want without adding a ton of weight, hence the Alu-Cab and the lighter SCS wheels.

AGM battery, served me great on my last Taco so decided to do the same. KDMAX tune will program the alternator to charge for AGM.
