Let me get my eyes on the rest of the angles of this set. I already see something, but just want to get the whole picture.

I'd love to tell everyone that this is a knockoff, but from what I can see it looks legit. :notsure:

I am not sure where they're getting them. Of course I'll reach out to SPC directly and see what's up but good scoop up! They might be continuing to sell to them and just blowing smoke to me. I dunno!

I don't think its a knockoff, but if it was a knockoff, its a high quality one at that. The laser etching of the Patent and model number looked extremely sharp and high quality. All the small details of the SPC engraving on the BJ etc were there as well. I didn't have much time to take pictures of it off the car pre-assembly (too excited to lift the truck) but at no point was there a red flag going off in my head.

Glad you got yours in and installed with no issues!

@memario1214 let us know what you find out. Everything I've seen, read, and experienced is that these are true SPC arms at a damn good deal.

Hate to ressurect an old thread but curious what ever came from this. @memario1214 do you have any more info to share?

I'm going to be buying some SPC UCAs from somewhere very soon. Can anyone suggest why NOT to buy from RockAuto versus the competition? I'm not seeing any downsides yet, feels like it's a trap...

I'll just say this... Who am I to tell you NOT to go with that option if it is the honest-to-god real thing. :notsure: All I know is that my contacts at SPC get a very different tone when you mention MEVO or RockAuto and actively proclaim that they don't sell there. That doesn't mean that someone isn't re-reselling to RA, but the margins for all parties would have to be pretty trim. I also don't know what kind of support that SPC would provide should you need it if you bought a set there.

If you order from them, and not get what you want - Go through the returns process and then come on back here to Hotshot Offroad. We have certified legitimate SPC arms here on hand, and we're easy to get a hold of should you need support!

Very interesting, thanks for the honest feedback. I would always rather support indie vendors like yourself but the price difference is hard to get past (other than concerns over possible warranty claims). I'm not a gambling man but a spare $200 helps my Taco addiction. Decisions, decisions...

We offer forum rates on many items, but can't distribute pricing publicly. Always encourage you to shoot us a PM with what all you're after and we can see what we can do, if anything! That said, before you get too excited I can promise that there will not be a $200 discount available on SPC arms!

I ordered a set in November, they are the real deal. SPCs in a different box, much cheaper.

Anybody know anything about the "New, maintenance free ball joint version features no zerk fitting"? Looks like V2 now has a choice of ball joints. But didn't SPC start with non-greaseable and then "upgrade" to the current greaseable ones because so many people were having issues? Curious if these new "maintenance free" ball joints are any better.

Not sure. I actually ordered spare UBJs (P/N 25001) that should be showing up today, so I'll try and remember to check if they have zerks or not.

Interesting. I didn't know this change occurred either. Might need to order some up for myself to see what is out there in the world!

x2, we had a customer upset they received non-serviceable arms. We had no idea the switch was made and I do not believe its an option, just a running change.

Picture from someone on reddit who just got new ones. Looks identical from the outside except there's now a little plug in the threaded hole where the zerk used to be.

Yea not sure if the ball joint even changed or if they just plugged the zerk fitting hole.

I'm greasing mine every oil change. It'll be interesting to see how this design holds up.

Looks like you can take the bolt out, install a zerk and grease it like the old ones. Old man EMU's arms are like that with a cover and a bolt that goes in the zerk hole.
