Fuel, is the only band I would want to see, the rest is on the level of a root canal.

I tried. The passenger side has had a noisy valvetrain. I assumed it was worn cams/lifters as I had no record of them being changed. So I tore it apart to see. At first I thought the cam was worn and bought the $2k kit from FCP to do both sides. After cleaning oil off the lobe it looked good so I need to return the kit. Managed to jump the timing gear when pulling it apart I think. But I reset it back to 40* and pulled the cams. What I found was that the cams were replaced at some point and the headbolts replaced, as well as lifters (both known issues). So that was great news and the cam adjusters look to have minor wear for the mileage so they may have been replaced too. The shitty thing is that somewhere along the line when someone did that work, they lost a couple dowels needed to properly time the engine. My timing tools would not fit but just barely. They also failed to lock the gear lash on the adjusters during install so they were what was making the noise. So once I fix the gear lash and correct the timing at all 4 cams it should be all good to go. With only minimal cost for new tty bolts, dowels and a timing kit. I'm hoping it picks up some power as I have to assume that the thing was adding timing since I've had it to correct the issue. I was curious if it was down on power for a while, it's pretty quick as you know but didn't feel as stupid as the white car. Combine that with only getting a 13.4s in the quarter had me sure something wasn't right. Stock they should run a 12.3, but mines not stock and should be making 50hp more than stock. That should make up for elevation so I should still expect a low 12 second pass.

It would also explain the odd "bog" I have experienced between gears. You can hear it below when it shifts into third. Again, that was probably the computer trying to make up for being a tooth out of time in the cams.

I haven't found one yet. Keep looking for a used one but still haven't found anything. Just gonna rock it bumperless until something turns up.

Yeah the dry method isn't very good, wet concrete sets the hardest. Being lazy doesn't typically payoff in construction
