That's a familiar feeling in my house and may make the same choice you did. Congrats on the truck, I figure I'm about another month or so out before I feel like I have to make the call.

I’d say good. Got it for MSRP without a bunch of dealer add-ons, and did well on the trade.

4x2 or 4x4? Seems like a pretty good price either way. Nice job.

 

2023 4x4 SR Access cab, just under $31,000 and got a really good trade in value ($23,000) for my 2017 GMC Canyon with 88,000 miles. The dealer had about $1300 in overpriced add ons that they took off the price. I paid exactly MSRP. I didn’t like paying MSRP but with the surprisingly good trade in value I was overall pleased.

 

Oh, purchased in El Paso, TX in March 2023.

How did you swing that? 8.8% off is unheard of these days.

 

We were blessed with a nice deal. It was one of ~10 on the lot (so there was a supply), we were able to pay cash, and I am fortunate to have a wife who is a great negotiator. We were not in a position that we had to buy then and were willing to walk away from any deal. Deal was actually made after we left the dealership and received a call from the sales manager. They needed to move stock.

 

Nice. End of month maybe to hit a sales goal? More people need to stick to their guns and hold out. Prices will slowly creep down.

 

Did you preorder 2023 TRD Pro, with 6 spd manual, or dealer had in stock?

 

It was already allocated so I found it right before production. I wanted to put in an order at a different closet dealer. The closer dealers told me there was little chance I would get one before the redesign as there were people waiting ahead of me. This was all before the official announcement of the ‘24.

 

We all was in right place, at the right time. You probraly know my story. I was interested in 2024 Tacoma, but my local dealer don’t have info yet, probraly end this year know. My Toyota dealer said they got three 2023 Tacoma OffRoad, Double Cab 4x4, 6spd manuals in stock, not special order. So I grabbed it. Also, I paid it full, no new car loan. I only waiting for Title from my bank.☺️
