This mounting spot for the control knob has the added benefit of allowing you to start the truck with one hand without having to get in and step on the brake. Hold the knob in and press the start button....thanks to whoever pointed that out! That will come in handy this winter when you just wanna start the truck without getting in.

Or, you know, buy MT :) :) :)

But, yeah, we covet that start button.

How have I never known about this!?! I used the clutch start cancel frequently on my manual first gen and my tow pro knob is in about the same place...

Received the mounting bracket from @pgfitzgerald. Really happy with the quality, best looking thing behind my dash!

I would like to thank @PFitzgerald for producing such a simple, yet elegant solution. The hardest part of the install for me was finding the stupid connector that was tucked behind a wire loom. it was one of those mods that went so cleanly you have to stand back and smile when done. Bravo Zulu to both Redarc and maker of the mount.

Tried this for the first time the other day, slick little feature. Obviously I won't use it all the time, but definitely handy on occasion... Got lucky & accidentally put my REDARC knob in the perfect spot, haha!

Same here. Although I have my dial on the left side, it still gives the convenience of starting the truck without reaching your foot for the brake, just takes both hands instead of one. Pretty neat feature.

So, I tried this the other day with my '16 MT and, doesn't work without clutch start/cancel. Is there something I'm missing or is the button AT only?

Some are not going to like the following feature: but I did some experimenting and found that by just pushing the RedArc brake button the shifter can be moved out of Park. Without the BRAKE pedal being pushed! I'm not yet sure how I feel about this. As long as I don't get into some BAD habits it will be fine... I think. This is most likely the same with any Trailer Brake controller, not calling out RedArc.

Thanks, I'll have to look that one up... Nope, just did, seems to be discontinued.

Yeah...it's been replaced by the FTM-500. Had one on order, but decided to keep this one due to screen size.

Received the mounting plate I ordered from @pgfitzgerald a few days ago.
I just got the controller kit from RedArc this morning.

Got on the install this afternoon. I decided to place the knob in the lower left panel. I don’t tow a trailer often that has a brake requirement.

I can say this. I’m very pleased with the quality of both the pgfitzgerald mount plate as well as the RedArc controller kit. In the past I’ve always had lower dash mounted controllers like the Prodigy P2. This setup is so much better. It’s just an amazing setup.

My thanks to pgfitzgerald, the plate takes the install to a much higher level.

Finally had the time to install the brake controller and mount.

Definitely recommend installing the RJ45 connector to the controller before screwing the mounting plate on vehicle.

Thanks, @pgfitzgerald for an awesome product.
