    thanks lol

I meant to cut the center blocks diagonally but totally spaced til I was halfway through so I kept going. Either way lots more biting edge so they should hook up better climbing and also be less likely to slide sideways with the vertical cut on the side lugs.

    No offense taken!

I got the table for myself first and foremost, and it's what I tell the people on the group when they get a CNC table; don't expect to earn back your money right away.

It is nice however when you make something and knock it out the park.

But as @04Pre_Runner said, he made a good point as to why he bought his part

It's quite an investment to get into 3D printing or cnc plasma. Much more expensive going with the latter of the two, but investments nonetheless.

Then you've got the learning curve that comes with them. And if you're just trying to "make it quick", you'll only lose/spend more as I'm constantly discouraging people from buying DXF files from Etsy. Why did you get into CNC if you're not going to learn CAD?

Of course there's consumables, troubleshooting, and more.

So it can definitely be worth buying from someone that can easily churn said parts out.

I got my second shop to take me on as their parts maker when I laid out his loss of wages manually making shit.

He told me he would drive to his buddies house to cut, drill, and shape this 1/4" thick bracket for his disc brake conversion kit and all in, it'd take him 2 hours to make. Multiply that by 2 (one for each side) for 4 hours.

If he's got a labor rate of $100 (I didn't ask him, gave him an example) it costs him $400 to make those 2 parts. This is where I told him I could expedite that by having him source from me at $20 per piece so $40 per set. Might sound like a bit of money for these small brackets measuring about 7" x 2" but knowing how long it takes to manufacture manually, it makes more sense to buy from me.

I've got the tooling, I've got the skillset, and he has a shop to run where he restores and customizes vehicles for others.

    Holy fucking shit.

You revitalize old tires with a hot knife the way I rebuild obsolete pieces of equipment with NLA parts

I think rebuilding obsolete equipment takes a little more skill than cutting up tires with a big knife tho :p

You know, I'm sure I can reach a level of detail I didn't think possible.

What I should mention, those cuts maintaining 1/32" is all done with my 1.1mm tips. That's the largest tip I can use and is rated for a full 60 amps.

I've got 30 amp tips that are .8mm which means I'd be able to cut finer lines, all while having those lines sit so much closer together. I just haven't figured out my pierce delay to properly use the smaller tips as they require a longer firing period to pierce the steel before cutting.

Can only imagine how much more fine it'd be with the .6mm tips.
