This'll be my first year hunting quail.

Yes, it is a very small amount of meat. The pellets are pretty small, so they don't tend to ruin much from what I gather.

Sure. It was just off a spring in the desert to the Southeast of Victorville, CA. I found it on onX, on BLM land. There is a nice strip of trees and very green vegetation in an otherwise fairly baren area. There're a bunch of them to the east of some private land in the middle of BLM. If you have onX, they're easy to spot.

Thanks. I may need to go look when I have a chance. I don't know if I'll actually hunt again but I use to go with my dad so some very fond memories. Now any reason to drive off road is a good one for me.

For quail and dove we usually just breasted them.

Thank you for reminding me ! I think I’ll use a piece of that rubber type drawer liner and might work perfect to protect and so it won’t slide around.

It's it great though for everything but reverse? I love mine. How long did it take you? Did you cut or ninja those bolts in? I think I may have elbow pain from reverse.

it really is great other than the reverse issue. It took me 3 hours bc I was trying to avoid cutting but faced the inevitable and started cutting. Did the reverse seem to let up at all as time passed?

For sure. I wish folks were more helpful to me as I'm learning, so I'm always happy to share any info that I figure out on my own.

That's the idea for me too. Breast them out and make poppers for the first go.

Reinstalled exchanged Winjet taillights because the last ones leaked.
    Popped in some Sumo Springs.
Things are starting to come together.

Nice install tip. I have the JBL system, so I don't believe I can use them, though.
On a side note, I have the same wireless carplay as you. I swear this thing sounds better than connecting via bluetooth without the adapter. The instructions, IIRC, state that after it's connected the first time it connects via WiFi. That would have more bandwidth. I'm talking Hi-Res files, usually 96kHz · 24bit. Have you noticed this, or it this just a placebo effect on my end?

I can't find the post, but I think someone with a JBL system installed the DS18 tweeters.

The Car Play adapter connects right away and the sound is pretty good for a stock stereo. I can't attest to it being better than before though as I replaced the tweeters and front door speakers at the same time that I installed the Car Play adapter. I was just happy with the overall improvement.

I mostly listen to Pandora or our iTunes library. We're Pandora One subscribers and I believe the mobile streaming is a measly 64Kbps, although I have to admit that it still sounds pretty good. At home it's 192Kbps. I've uploaded our CDs to iTunes at 356Kbps so it does sound better if we play it off of our iPhones.

That’s not too bad. It’s def not easy. I was able to do it without cutting though. I really didn’t want to. I think it eased up a bit. It’s only been a month or so.

no there isn’t anything adjustable on it.

@Coupe might have some good information on the Hard Shifting going into Reverse.
