Forgive my ignorance if this is a dumb question- the underside of my previous truck did not have an opening like this.

This evening I noticed a very large puddle coming back to my vehicle from an hour long hike with my pup. I couldn’t tell if perhaps it had been there before I parked, since it looked like it may be old, so I drove home and looked again in my own driveway. Upon checking underneath I noticed multiple active small drips in about 4 locations - but all of them appeared to be clear fluid as far as I could tell. I also noticed a funnel looking piece with an opening hanging down at the bottom that was very wet and the skid plate around it was wet too. What is that opening (pic attached)? And is this amount of wetness/condensation normal? When I put my finger up in that opening, I did get a small amount of oil on my finger. Last oil change was around 7/12/23.IMG_6005.jpg

Definitely condensation from running the A/C. Nothing to be concerned about.

You will find a small tube on the right side firewall just above the frame. This is the HVAC drain. Some people modify with an extension tube so that it doesn't drip all over the frame.
