I wonder if future models will have options to remove the roof, doors, and drop the windshield. I would like that.

    1. to compete w/ the Jeep and Bronco. 2. to return to the roots of the FJ40 and my 70 series.

I just wish they could call it what I learned when I was 2. I know what blue, green, red, black, white, etc. are. What the heck does traildust and underground and meteor shower even mean? Does giving the color a cute name make it sell better?

They can charge more for fancy color names like Sands of Pluto rather than just Tan.

No kidding! I was complete off base of what I thought Meteor Shower is. My mind went straight to an extinction level event…

    Just the basics
This new Landcruiser looks great. Not goofy like the FJ Cruiser and not IMHO fugly like the 4th gen tacos. My lady is looking at a 4Runner in the future and this might suit the bill even better.

Makes me wonder what plans they have for the 4 runner so the two don't compete with each other.

Everyone here should just get a Subaru Crosstrek. It can go most things that people do with their trucks at half the price.

This is a Prado. Same thing the 4runner was “inspired” by, same thingy the USDM GX has always been.
    It’s not a successor to your 80

The only issue there is then you would be a Subaru owner.

I never said it was a successor to the 80. It's a 250 series. It happens to have similar dimensions to the 80.

It is much worse than that, it is not a Toyota…

I hydroplane thru a puddle in a Subaru had it been any other vehicle I would have spun out and crashed thru an interstate sign and who knows where the car would have landed. That Subaru braked and held straight after it initially lost traction.

If you put a LandCruiser badge on an Outback does it become a LandCruiser?
