    Brake power booster. On the Tacoma it’s electric, so check fuse first. Second would be hose leak for same. Third would be ruptured booster…

    Actually only TRD Offroad models had the electronic brake booster, and that was only on 2009 and up models. Punxsutawney's Tacoma is an 06 Pre-Runner, which has the normal vacuum booster and standard master.

    I was referring to the pump not getting power/blowing a fuse - eg. not having to replace anything but correct some simple wiring/electrical issue.

    If anything, it would just not have ABS if there was a power loss issue.

    Pretty sure Grit is gonna need a new master cylinder and full brake flush. Pretty affordable actually.

    It is possible - but never overlook the simple shit..

    I can feel the brake booster 'activate' or power on or whatever when I get in and step on the pedal/start the truck - the pedal feel changes dramatically.
