Dang, somebody break in? Or did you lock yourself out and finally get to use that krazy beaver shovel?

Can’t tell from the pic- is that a molded door? If not you can most likely just replace the glass

So I locked myself out of the house, left my phone in the house, neighbors wouldn't come to the door.. so I took my Halligan bar and pried the door open and when I couldn't get the dead bolt out I had to break the glass..

To be honest I have had good luck recently from buying the door at Home Depot and having them schedule an installer. It took a couple weeks but they were prompt and did a great job. Wouldnt even let me tip him. Neighbor said the same thing about Lowe's.

So how you lock yourself out of the house with a deadbolt? Common sense says all deadbolts need to turn by a key from the outside? :bananadead:

It was the door I chose to break into.. my back door and French doors were too expensive.. it's the only 1 that was sacrificial at the time.. looking back I should have broken A window but I started by drilling out the lock hoping it would be an easy fix and it didn't work ( drills were in my work van)

I learned my lesson the hard way many years ago. Now, at least one door will always have a keypad lock so it’s impossible to be locked out.

So I did something to my ikamper that I kinda regret but honestly I'm glad I did it. The inner liner "quilted map" was coming off the hard top so I pulled it off to redo it.. well when I did I saw that the inner fiberglass shell was cracked ... and wasn't attached well. I took a Dremel and cut it out. To my surprise the struts aren't reinforced and i feel that is a weak point long term. I'm going to fiberglass the inside and use fiberglass filler to smooth out the "ugly" and strengthen up the 2 struts and block them up. I'm then going to either reglue the map back the right way.. or I'm going to attach a molle panel and attach light objects to it during camping. Im going to roll truck bed liner as the finish. Now for the progress photos: 20230805_140649.jpg 20230806_093946.jpg

Freak yea... I was like wtc.. and I put in a warranty claim but I looked on a different forum and the guy was waiting over a yr and didn't hear back so I took matters into my own hands.. the shell itself let's in light in areas so you know the fiberglass is thin...

If I had known all these troubles I would have went a different route but I love that it fits over my bed and doesn't have to go over my cab

Things aren't made like they once were... I did reach out to ikamper other than warranty to see if I can purchase a new shell.. but I fear it would have same issues
