That looks like the high voltage rectifier tube which connects the flyback transformer to a cathode ray tube.

Those things change the AC from the transformer to 15,000 V DC

I still have half a box of this that I use for sketching. I haven’t had a tractor feed printer in 30 years.

This site states 2500 VDC - here

This site totally nerds out on me - here

I used to figure all this out thanks to the US Navy and B.E.E and Electrician's Mate "A" school and the MSO-464 USS Pluck/USS Constant/USS Esteem.
The saying "use it or lose it" applies here.

    I just donated
    - 3 boxes of this single depth dot matrix printer paper, 1 box unopened.
    - 2 dot matrix printers - 1 still in the unopened box.

My employer STILL uses 3 layer dot matrix printer and paper for transactions in Mexico for nota fiscal.

These last few remind me of an "incident" on the flightline Pope AFB, NC circa '85-'86. Junction box of a C130, night shift trying to find a broke circuit in the avionics. Guy on flightdeck calling out junction numbers from the T.O. wiring diagram while I jumpered the terminals ... HUGE SPARK FILLED FLASH ... Shift Chief TSgt said my kneeling shadow outline on the C141 parked adjacent was quite impressive.o_O

... guy jumpered me across a phase adapter ... last time I let him read the wiring diagram for me.
