By the way this worked! It measured 10.02mm also and pressed in tightly. The only thing is that the "barb" on it is not quite wide enough for the factory hose clamp to grab on to. I'll grab a couple of stainless clamps at the hardware store and that shouldn't be a problem.

Well to whoever does this swap in the future, if you plan on putting a CSF radiator, plan on moving the engine back an extra half inch away from the stock radiator. There is no way the fan will go on now with the radiator installed and there is no way you'll install the radiator once the fan an shroud in place. Thank God that I measured for the stock radiator to have clearance. I guess I'll order up a denso radiator and return the CSF. It's too bad but it is what it is.

Can you run some electric fans and keep the CSF?

Probably but I have zero desire in spending more time and resources to make it work. The denso radiator is already on order.

I should also add that there is about a 1 inch difference from fire wall to core support from the gx460, the tacoma engine bay is smaller. So thats a contributing factor. My firewall clearance is about 1 inch behind the engine. So I probably could've made it work if I had the csf on hand when welding everything in, oh well. I guess in the future I can run an oil cooler for the tranny.

You are doing exactly what has gotten you to this point. I'm thinking you aren't settling for second best. I think you are focusing on how far you've come, your original objectives, what it will take and feel like to sit in the drivers seat and start and drive your V8 and AWD Tacoma, and to hear that V8 purr! Oh, and you will also have brought with you most all of the Lexus features the original drivetrain came from the factory with!

A denso rather than a csf radiator seems like a minor tradeoff especially when you have an alternative IF you need to supplement cooling. Winning looks and feels a little different to everyone. You've gotten all of us this far, we're with whatever you decide the Win looks like

    Yeah.
Subbing and still need to go back through all the pages. Really cool project. I've always been a bit disappointed that you can only get the center diff in the 4Runner Limited pavement princess edition (my wife drives one).

I started putting fluids in today! We are very close. I am hoping to check all grounds tomorrow and put the battery in. It'll be exciting to see if it unlocks/locks the doors.

Sweet! Can’t wait to see it! Roll your windows down. Don’t accidentally lock a key in the car, lol.

Even the Toyota models are good at pinpointing where the FOB is. My wife's Highlander has a setting where the vehicle can be started with the FOB anywhere in the vehicle, or only the front seat.
