I've had a bunch of super close calls lately, very happy to have 1.75" tube strapped to the frame on the sides lmao. A couple of them had me thinking about scrub bars the way the aussies do it...

The prius do the old "yield for thee and not for me?"

IDK if it's over reliance on automation or post covid lag but drivers are baaad. I see so many "oh my exit" from the middle or left lane. How absent minded are you? Your phone said next exit,
And if they miss the exit slam on the brakes and back up.

Have any of you guys gone down the rabbit hole of replacing your horn for a louder one? The current discussion is what has had me looking for a louder horn for a bit, but never puled the trigger. I'm not getting anything that requires are, just something that will better grab attention when needed. Anyone have one they like?

Other than the train horn pranks...IDK what a louder than stock horn would accomplish... I wonder if there's a dB limit.

Love it when you think (based on the sound HOPE) you need break pads and Amazon has them for $24. Why not...ordered Sat night. Might be able to install today if I get them early enough.

highland Ca is apparently the Amazon air cargo spot.

Mine is pretty meager. I absolutely don't want a train or air horn. It may not do anything. I've noticed people will change lanes into you, you hit the horn and they just keep on going. Hoping something a little more umph may persuade them to stay the F in their own lane until they have a clear lane to move into. Wishful thinking, I know...
I've had good luck with Rock Auto for stuff like that also, quick ship, low price closeouts and in stock!

Most of my close calls were people who just straight up wandered into my lane in pretty dense traffic...how do you blank out like that surrounded by cars and things that require immediate attention? Been seeing tons of people barrel over several lanes to catch an exit too. What's the saying, "a good driver misses their turn occasionally, a bad driver never misses theirs"?

She strait said it was two lanes pulling onto rt9 from Hammond pond. I was on the clock and taking my time just cruising with traffic. At my turn to go I got crunched

Honda et. al. bragging about quiet cabins, noise cancellation, etc.

Don't you have a dash cam?

I haven't needed mine, the time I got rear ended the dude fessed up (was changing his shoes....?) and didn't need it. But I've caught some great ("great") stuff on there. I've posted some to my local town facebook page when they start getting up in arms about our car insurance rates.

Supertones are high on the list. I believe there are 2 options, one's a little louder. PIAA makes a set that caught my attention also and then there's a WOLO horn that always seems to pop up in the search.

Nice. I was reading the reviews on the Supertones and they were mixed. Seems like decibel-wise, they're not much louder than factory, but the change in tone grabs attention much better than factory.
