Hey guys i just wanted to put a feeler out there for my RTT. Its a Roofnest Falcon, sleeps 2, and have the Roofnest air mattress for it, as well as the crossbars. 2.8K

Its in perfect condition only slept in a couple time, and have never used the air mattress. My wife does not like the climb.

How does this sit in the bed, on the bed rails?

 

They all sit on the rails unless you customize a ranger stepside box. Then it fits under a cover.

a little more cutting and hammer action and mine would fit a short bed,,,if you were trying to go that route

 

My best friend would likely love this for his trailer. I know he's not around this weekend, but if you have it into next week / weekend I'm sure he could make something work. If we could get a TW Express to south of Boston the end of this week after work (say Thursday) or next week after work I could easily grab it for him.

If you've had other people messing about it, no worries.

Should have specified… if it has wings on top they are to sit on the rails/ bedsides. Looks like a lot of wasted space imo

 

Think it’s time to part ways with my RTT and trailer. Got around to actually drag this thing out and use it for a week camping and I’m ready to let it go if it works out. Awesome trailer that’s been hugely helpful for us but wedding this September, new house that’s a fixer, yada yada just keeps us from going out enough. It’s been used less than 5 times and I think it’s mostly dialed now. Frame, axle and wheels/tires came from a member here (@HolyHandGrenade). Box was built by me. Cross bars added as well as mounting points for drop legs by a local welding shop. LED lights work perfect. Swapped to a dual wheel front tongue jack and it’s so much better to move around since it’s heavier. Tongue box is a harbor freight special but has been awesome to have. Has a lunette ring for an attachment point which is nice for articulation. RTT is a basic Smittybilt RTT. Took some insect damage during storage last season unfortunately but patched everything this weekend and held during rain with no issues. Happy to provide more info or more detailed photos if it seems like it could work well. Attached a few photos to start. Thinking 3.5k for trailer and tent, 3k if trailer only.
