3.4L supercharger

Ah dang I didn't see this post until now, but I do have the correct MAP sensor. It arrived today so I'll probably go install it later today.

I run around 188-195º and I have the Corolla thermostat. Currently hot as beans here in Texas.

Hmm...Wonder which position my jiggle valve is in. I NEVER see temps in the 160s

 

Update. New MAP sensor is working as it should. Old one must have overheated itself

 

I will be purchasing the tvs1320 as soon as it's available so will keep u posted

 

the TVS blowers are really nice. i may upgrade to it at some point.. but we'll see. my 98 is just now getting headers, the OG blower needs a rebuild soon. but i need to control myself because i still need to finish my 01... and i have a go fast mr2 now... well 4 of them

 

I'm excited, the 4 rotor lobe design instead of 3 lobes is definitely a huge upgrade and from 60 degrees to 160 degrees twist and

I'm just hoping the new design 2 piece pulley doesn't come back over the snout limiting the size of a smaller pulley because at 6000 feet I'm going to need a smaller pulley.
The one piece pulley of course it's not an issue.

 

I was installing the center bolt in the super charger and popped the threads. Has this happened to anyone? Seems like i can run a longer bolt for easiest fix.

 

Are you talking about the bolt that holds the pulley on?

 

My first impression was he was referring to the middle bolt on the passenger side of the SC. The one closest to the throttle body. The one that has a bolt head with torx fitting in the head of the bolt.

 

yep. Happened to me. I ran a longer bolt with washers as it was difficult to find the exact length, and I did not want to trim the longer bolt for fear that I would damage the threads.
Later on when I changed out the injectors, I purchased a new lower intake manifold to get rid of the problem. Lesson learned; cant use the bolts to mate the supercharger to the manifold.

 

The through bolt I think it's 135 mm bolt

 

Might do that. They're pretty cheap to acquire. At first I was thinking longer bolt or helicoil but new one is way easier.

I thought this was just me messing up. I installed a helicoil as a fix.

 

Grey TRD S/C for sale in San Diego (not mine), looks like only the blower, nothing else?

 

Way too much with no additional hardware parts and probably needs a full rebuild

 

Installed supercharger. It's running rich and stalls out. Installed with Doug Thorley exhaust manifold, cat not installed, need to cut it shorter and install.
Would this have an effect or is it somthing else?

 

Having the cat off were the second O2 sensor isn't reading anything will cause problems.

 

What are you using to control fuel and timing?

 

I've done upgrades to the fuel pump and blue top injectors (I believe is250)
So I guess my answer is ecu

 

Ok hopefully I can get to a muffler place to get the cat done, see if it fixes the problem
