We always stay on track with paper maps. Yes, we use a GPS, but they screw up just often enough to not trust them. We refer to the paper to clarify.
Highway maps aren't much help on small roads, but doable.

    Lol
The last time I was contacted for a school reunion the girl actually called me.
She was a hot ticket but with a shitty attitude back then.

I said no thank you and she pushed my button and asked why not.
    So I said
I want to remember the the good looking energetic kids like they were.
Not the fat, ugly, stoner/drunks they have become.
Don’t want to hear how much money they have made or screwed others out of.
Don’t want to hear the wining of everything hurts.
Plus there are three guys if I saw them I’d pound the shit out of them.
    She goes “Oh”.
I said thanks for the call anyway but the past is the past…

I hear ya . This wasn’t a typical reunion . Just people that were pretty much in the same click that haven’t seen each other in a long time. Was around 25 people from all those classes . My class alone was over 100 kids . Some old friends that I do see a couple times a year some I’ve seen a few times in 43 years and some I haven’t seen in 43 years . The plan is to head back to that bar once a year . Whoever wants to show up will show up . Was all through social media . I live 100 miles from where I graduated. One guy came all the way from Georgia but he also has family in that town .

    DSCN0292.jpg DSCN0291.jpg Afternoon all:

Sort of the same here, some I would be glad to see, others not so much, never went to a HS reunion!

Got to the furnace today, first pic. is the working end with the nozzle and electrodes removed, 2nd pic. is the opposite cleanout end with what is called a scroll in place on the tubes, the good news is that I didn't need to replace the part that I thought I needed to.
Been working on it for 4hrs. and all done but need to put the covers back on it think I'll remove the flue pipe and clean it, it's not that hard, but a PITB because of limited space.

LOL! Haven't heard a peep from any classmates, since 1983, when they were looking at a 10 year. This year would be 50. Not a soul I want to see.

This is getting a little old... but mostly, I was amazed by accident. Noticed that the pool thermometer was needing batteries, so while I was in there briefly, I put it on the "cool deck", so it'd be dry when I changed them later. This little grouping is on the W sunroom brick, just inside the room. So, some heat stays on the bricks, and the indoor is usually a couple degrees higher than where I sit.

Tried to not overtighten a new kitchen faucet when I installed it several months ago, and of course now it's loose again. So, empty everything out, lay with my back on the sink base edge, flashlight in my mouth, faucet wrench at the ready, with zero room to use it, and do it again. I'm not a plumber but play one in real life.
This time, I've installed a new faucet with a grip sleeve to tighten it in place. Less install work and if it gets loose, easier one hand fix tightens it back up. And no "how tight is too tight". Perfect! Some old-timer probably invented it.

    Good morning all.

Class of 1980 myself. Have not gone to a single class reunion and don't foresee that changing. Our first reunion, 5 year variety, 2 of the girls on the planning committee rescheduled the date as they were both "summering in the Bahamas". That was all it took to set the tone for me. Stuck up b***hes while we were in school and not likely to change. I stay in contact with roughly 3 former classmates and those are the same 3 I considered friends when we were in school.

Well I have to tell you a story bout not recognizing a classmate. About 12 years ago I got appointed to be director of a local government agency. This came with a about 25 staff including an executive assistant. About maybe 3 months after I started, I was in the conference room holding my executive meeting. My assistant and I were early waiting for others. We started talking about where we grew up and the high schools we went to. We found that we both were the class of 77 in the same school. We knew of each other but didn’t put the names together. She was pretty wild at the time and I was not so our paths didn’t meet. Now we are both retired and are still good friends. We both went to our HS 40th reunion and had a great time.
