    Let the games begin:

Fisker Alaska is Fisker’s versatile, advanced, and powerful all-electric four-door pickup truck.

    • Built on an extended adaptation of Fisker Ocean’s platform called the FT31, Alaska is both a sporty everyday ride and a highly flexible utility pickup.
    • Built for multiple cargo configurations, including a cargo bed extendable from 4.5 feet to 7.5 feet to 9.2 feet, and a Houdini bed divider which hides away to connect cargo bed and rear cabin.
    • Designed to be the world’s lightest EV pickup truck.
    • Designed to be the world’s most sustainable truck.
    • Shares the Fisker Ocean’s modern design DNA and fast, road-holding EV performance, and has a projected range of 230-340 miles.
    • Expected deliveries in 2025 and priced starting at $45,400 before incentives.
And if built in U.S. price could drop to $37,000 due to tax incentives, while first deliveries could be December 2024. BOOM

    Talk about COMPETITION

I really like 2 things. It is supposed to be a bit smaller than current midsize trucks that have become bloated. I also love the midgate. It gives those of us who hate short beds the option to have longer bed. I'm going to be watching for more details on this truck.

I like real trucks, no midgate BS for me. Lol at the $45k starting price. Not going to touch one for under $60k

If Fisker does their homework then they won't mess with asking price of 45K. Rivian jacked their EV truck prices shortly after roll out and got their head handed to them. As in massive buyer revolt. Rivian had to promise buyers with reservations they would not have to pay higher jacked rates, but any new orders taken after announced price increase would stick.

Personally I see Fisker Alaska truck missing its roll out date and coming out in mid 2025. That's a long, long way off.

    Our Values

I'd like it if for profit auto manufacturers would get out of the values business. ICE or EV it does not matter, you are selling me a vehicle. Build a quality vehicle, and sell it to me at a reasonable price. Those should be your values. Who cares about values, adults don't have time for lectures from the auto industry, and kids don't care about values they just want a free PSP5.

They sound as if they are nowhere close to production. For another 10-20 grand I'd get a Chevrolet Silverado HD gas or diesel with the Alaskan package.
    Ak73YwSV46QBQhNaHOqwMN5Kw0Y.jpg

So, they are going to sell Pear, which looks like a RX8 knockoff that has a thousand HP, retractable carbon fiber roof for under $30k. That does not sound feasible. What's a base Mazda MX-5 Miata go for? Somewhere in the low 40s I thought.

Can't even take these startups seriously.

Yep, it will be exactly like a Ford Lightning and have the "Starting" price 20 grand higher than expected.

Real trucks don't have 5 foot beds.

I ran into a lady driving a Ford Lightning. Nice truck, but she said they can’t tow any sort of distance with it. The charge runs out too soon. Do we know if that’s the case with the Fisker?

The pricing and the truck are vaporware until they start rolling off the line. Waiting to see if the Cybertruck really does start rolling out this fall and what the price will be. Wondering if they are going to do something to prevent flipping.

OP, do you own a pickup? I am guessing no and are you kicking tires for the future purchase when you turn 16. In that case, thanks for sharing the link.

I love these guys who feel the need to let everyone know they personally will never be buying an EV for this or that or whatever. As if these companies aren’t already aware that there are some niche markets out there for which their trucks aren’t going to work.
If you tow a lot they aren’t for you. We get it. If you must drive 400 miles without stopping they aren’t for you. We get it. If you camp… I mean “overland!!!!” a hundred miles from pavement they aren’t for you. We get it.

It may be a surprising marketing strategy but these trucks and cars are actually being made for the other 99% of drivers out there.

Ahh, so you hit on a very important fact. Most truck owners don't tow. Most truck owners don't go off road. Most truck owners use their vehicles for commute transportation. All True.

I realize that the angle distorts the picture....but even with that the Rivian looks a lot larger. Cybertruck should be launching by the end of the year. Question is if Fisker is able to bring theirs to market then will it still be a contender for the BEV midsize truck segment?

Yup....if they can afford it. Over 1.9 million reservations. Even if only 10% follow through with placing an order it is still a lot. Will be interesting to see if Tesla does something to stop people from flipping the trucks.
